Webcam Full Body Tracking: Heavy Model Is Now the Default
Webcam full body tracking in Driver4VR just got a big upgrade. In version 5.15 the default pose model changes from Lite on the CPU to \Heavy\, which runs super fast on your GPU or across multiple CPU threads.
What's better
Tracking is much better overall, and the biggest difference is in the feet. Foot position in depth is far more precise, so when you put your foot forward, you can clearly see it. Before, tracking could feel quite flat.
The settings are under Pose Model (Heavy / Full / Light) and Pose Compute (GPU / CPU). On a slower PC, try Full or Light.
Mobile
I also changed the default models in the mobile app, because many of you never tried the better ones even though your device could easily handle them.
Coming soon
- Face tracking for people without a VR headset
- Hand tracking
- Face blendshapes and finger tracking combined, with optional full body tracking when you move away from the camera
