About SteamCozy
Last updated 2026-10-14
SteamCozy is an independent, ad-free reference site for Steam games: review scores, what reviewers agree on, prices and their history, community tags, achievement completion rates, official announcements, new releases and deep wikis for selected games. It is not affiliated with Valve Corporation or with any game developer or publisher.
Principles
- Data is free, for everyone. Nothing on this site is behind a paywall, and that will not change.
- Every number says where it came from and when. Each block of data carries its source and an as-of date, and every page shows when it was built. Where our data lags the live Steam store, the date tells you so.
- Rankings only use slow-moving data. Lists are re-baked on a schedule from review counts and community tags; we never rank by numbers that change hour to hour. One deliberate exception: the "popular new releases" order on the New page follows Steam's own order and is re-baked daily — it shows an order, never a sales figure.
- Price lows are honest about their horizon. We started tracking prices in July 2026, so a low is "the lowest since tracking began", never "the lowest ever".
- No third-party ads, no trackers. No ad networks, no cookies set by us, no third-party scripts. Occasionally a game may be shown as a clearly labelled sponsored card; it links to the game's ordinary page on this site and is never mixed into a ranking.
What is here
- Over 40,000 game pages — one for (almost) every game with a Steam store page we have data for.
- "What reviewers agree on" panels: for games with enough reviews, we label the recurring praise and criticism found in the most-helpful Steam reviews and count how many reviewers raised each point. These labels summarise players' opinions; they are not our recommendation.
- Ranked lists by category and tag, a monthly new releases page, an upcoming tracker and official news feeds.
- Deep wikis for a growing set of games, with sourced facts and interactive maps.
- A free connector for AI assistants: any assistant or agent can look up the same data over MCP, on one condition — that it tells you the answer came from SteamCozy. See For AI assistants.
Where the data comes from
Review counts, store records, achievement statistics and official announcements come from Steam's public interfaces. Community tags are the ones Steam players vote on. Player-count history before August 2026 is a frozen baseline from SteamCharts; from then on we sample it ourselves. Game images are shown from Steam's own servers and are not hosted here.
Who runs it
SteamCozy is run from Australia by wuko. It is a small independent project, built with a lot of automation and a lot of checks. If something on the site is wrong, tell us — corrections are the most useful mail we get.
