Frogmonster Item Randomizer! — Frogmonster News

You can now play the game with items randomized!

What does this mean?
Weapons, spells, bugs, and most items you collect in the game have their sources swapped. So a catching a fly at the beginning of the game could give you the wooden cannon or any other item!

You can even play with friends! With multiword support you can have your item pools randomized together so one player can unlock items for another's! Even between different games entirely.

How do I play?
There are two steps to get it working!

1) if you are hosting you are going to need to download the archipelago client and go through some steps to host a world either locally or on their website. There are great instructions for this from a community member who has helped me with the archipelago side of things

2) The next step is to right click on Frogmonster in your steam library and click Properties->Betas and select the rando_0.1.0 branch! Once it's downloaded you can launch the game and pick a new save file. After clicking play open the console and type in your archipelago connect command and name and you are all set!

Quick note
SAVE FILES ARE DIFFERENT FOR RANDO SO DON'T WORRY IF YOUR PREVIOUS SAVES DON'T SHOW UP

I've been having a blast playing this with some friends and hope you do too!
