Some news about the future
Read the original on Steam ↗I think it's important to clarify a few things about "The Architect: Paris" and its future. Let's start by taking a quick look at its history.
TAP is a game developed by ENODO GAMES that was released on STEAM as an early access game in February 2021. The full version of the game was released in September 2021. Unfortunately, ENODO GAMES had to file for bankruptcy in early 2022.
After many months of negotiations and administrative discussions, we managed to find a buyer for ENODO GAMES' activities and intellectual property. This enabled us to save and transfer some of the team's employees to a new company called 5PM STUDIO.
This company now owns the rights to "The Architect: Paris".
This team had already been working for several months on a new concept called "Bergerac", which appealed to the new investors. When it came to deciding whether the team should continue its work on TAP or develop this new project, we had to take into account a large number of parameters, both technical and marketing.
It was a difficult decision to make, and to be totally transparent, the fact that we were moving on to something else played a big part in the balance. By mutual agreement between the members of the team and the investors, we decided to work on this new project, which is now called Mémoriapolis.
We're still aiming to develop TAP further, and we're already thinking about possible future developments. But I can't tell you when we'll resume development.
I admit my mistakes: I didn't communicate enough with TAP players about the future of the game. Although there are a number of reasons for this lack of communication, I apologise for this.
