Garden Witch Life Patch 1.0.19 is now live on Steam! This update removes Fatigue, adjusts sell prices in the Community Box and MagiBuy, and includes numerous other improvements and bug fixes. We hope these changes enhance your magical journey in Moonflower Island!
We know this update has taken a while, but we hope this will address some of your biggest concerns and issues. Besides the fixes list, we would like to explain the two biggest changes:
- Fatigue was taken out. Many of you expressed dislike about the fatigue meter adding unnecessary stress to what should be a relaxed experience. We intended for it to provide an incentive to take it slow, but after seeing your reactions we decided to disable the entire mechanic for now. For now instead of passing out, you will simply not be able to use tools without stamina, which will replenish on sleeping or eating. However you can only eat until the hunger bar is full and reset that with sleeping as well.
- Sell prices have gotten a boost across the board. MagiBuy used to pay 25% of worth, and now it will pay 50%. While the community box will pay 150% to start with, but sell less items and increase both as you become better friends with the towns people. Simultaneously we decreased the prices for tools, especially for the starter tools in case you lose them.

- Removed / Disabled fatigue.
- Added more nettles to garden map (swamp entry and ledge near fairy forest entry).
- Library is now unlocked from the start.
- Currently held item now shows info in HUD where input help is.
- Onions now grow in Summer and Autumn too and seeds can be bought during this time too.
- Grater no longer needs key press to grate.
- Increased MagiBuy Price Modifier 25% -> 50%.
- Increased Community Box Price Modifier 100% - 200% -> 150% -> 300%.
- Sleep now restores 5 health.
- Bramles now only do 1 damage.
- Animal houses for Snail, Frog and Dog now unlock at earlier friendship levels with Lily.
- Added tooltips to Whisk, Grater and Frying Pan mini games.
- Compost now works longer and improves soil quality more.
- Giving a gift that is hated now only reduces by -1 instead of -10.
- New plant radius colors.
- Moved tutorial popup closer to center.
- Loading screen now fades smoothly in and out.
- Save games now show in-game date once they have been re-saved.
- Reduced sell price of Rose Perfume.
- Mint and Lavender leaves are now respawn harvests.
- Tomato, Apple, Carrot, Strawberry and Cucumber now restore 1 health.
- Decreased tool prices at Tin and Aurel.
- Chickens now eats Oats.
- Made chicken food recipe produce more (5 -> 10).
- Aurel now loves all yarn balls.
- Added more food options for animals.
- Updated companion plant and stamina tutorials.
- Since Fatigue is gone the achievement "Enforced Nap" now gets unlocked by health becoming 0.
🐞Fixes:
- Fixed empty chests. Loot chests will now re-spawn once if looted before to fix the error. If you already opened them you will have the chance to open them again once.
- Fixed character passing out while already starting to sleep which lead to losing progress
- Fixed item tooltips not showing up when using controller.
- Fixed Manoir not opening.
- Fixed Summerfest ending when going into the houses in town.
- Fixed Mountain Battery quest soft locking when doing steps before being told to do them.
- Fixed camera staying at original water surface height when water level is lowering, making navigating the mine almost impossible.
- Fixed Whisk not working Steam Deck.
- Fixed stack splitting not working on secondary monitors.
- Fixed stack splitting UI going out of screen on 4K monitors.
- Fixed the possibility to have two pass outs on top of each other leading to a progress reset.
- Fixed whisk not being shown as crafting station in recipe menu.
- Fixed mail text not being scrollable with controller.
- Fixed overriding save game garbling save name.
- Fixed cooking process consuming ingredients when aborted.
- Fixed seed info staying up when scrolling over tool.
- Fixed apiary not always producing honey (does every day now, except winter).
- Fixed apiary not being removable with hammer
- Fixed being able to destroy bench while sitting on it.
- Fixed floor disappearing near mine entrance.
