An Update.. — The Two of Us News

Hey Everyone!

I would firstly like to apologise, I had very bold plans laid out in the 2023 and Beyond... post about rebuilding and updating this game. Which has never happened, so I apologise for that. Also for the lack of updates just on the developer side of things.

As mentioned in that post, I was working full-time as a game designer which took up pretty much all of my time. As the year went on I found myself pretty burnt out and when I wasn't at work I wanted to stay away from the computer. This meant the rebuild or any other personal projects would never get worked on.

However now, I have made the difficult decision to resign from my current position and pursue indie development. So what does this mean?

Obviously my immediate priority is to try and generate revenue (The Two of Us will always remain a free game). So I will be working on a new project in the mean time which will be a paid title. The optimistic hope is that this title will help me at least pay the bills. Once this game has shipped and hopefully started generating revenue, is when I hope to fully lock in to rebuilding and updating The Two of Us. I still do have a love for this game as it sort of kicked off my career and want to update it for everyone.

This means an update for this game will still be over 6+ months way so I apologise for the super long delay.
