Announcement: A new Heroes of Might and Magic by Unfrozen is coming soon!
Read the original on Steam ↗We are thrilled to announce that our next project, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, the official prequel of HoMM, has been revealed at Gamescom 2024! Yes, you read right! Next year, we’re celebrating the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise's 30th anniversary by releasing Olden Era in Early Access in the first half of 2025.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is the new installment in the genre-defining, critically acclaimed series of turn-based strategy games. Olden Era returns to the world of Enroth and the origins of the legendary saga, inviting both veterans and new players to go on a new strategic quest on Jadame, a mysterious continent in turmoil, never before explored in the main Heroes of Might and Magic series, with its unique factions, biomes and creatures.
You may solo with a new campaign, single and limitless randomly generated maps, or engage in a battle of wits and magic with other players in various multiplayer modes offering a variety of gameplay, from quick Arena matches to the strategic depth of a single-hero mode or classic Skirmish.
We’ve been working tirelessly to create an experience that blends the best elements of strategy and role-playing games.
Withal necromancers, there is no need to worry: as we communicated earlier, Unfrozen maintains plans to develop a new game in the Iratus universe. We aim to share more details about this project with you in the future.
The HoMM and Iratus franchises are completely independent of each other both narratively and gameplay-wise, except for a stray easter egg, maybe. ːhunky_skullː
