While playing the game, I felt that the English localization lacked a bit of polishing, and the developers gave me full carte blanche to fix it. I tried my best to make the descriptions, diary entries, and menus as clear and intuitive as possible. But of course, the most overwhelming task and the biggest fun for me were the dialogues, as they required not only proofreading but also stylizing with the characters' backgrounds in mind, which sometimes even required lowering the initial text quality. Now Karl, an immigrant presumably from Germany, speaks a mix of English and German; a special tools salesman will actually try a few pitches on you; and Jack himself, excited about his new line of work, has adopted a moderate "guy from the streets" persona.
