Gavin here from Two Star Games, and I'm proud to share Cloud Climber with everyone here on Steam. Cloud Climber is a short story based game that I made in one week for the 2020 Epic MegaJam, which took place in December. Creating this game was honestly a really nice way to end a crummy year.
The theme of the game jam was "It's been a long time, but we're not done yet", and I decided to go the "we've been building towers for a long time" route. The story centers around the concept that it has stopped raining, and as Earths water evaporated people began building towers with the intention of reaching the clouds to get get water out of them. They've been building for long time, but they haven't reached the clouds yet!
I'm really proud of this concept, and how it has turned out. Considering it's a game about the end of humanity, it somehow became a really relaxing experience (to play, not to make lol). The sun casts aa warm light through the fog, as a soft wind howls, and blows dust through the towers. It's unlike any other game I've created and it was a blast to try out something new.
I know it's pretty short, but since the reception has been so positive, I decided that the general Steam audience might enjoy it. I really hope you have fun with it!
