Today's update brings back the Nerts bonus as one of three new "house rules" that can be enabled in non-public lobbies. You can now change the Nerts bonus (0, 5, or 10 points), change the length of the game (100, 75, or 50 points), and enable a "balance mode" that gives players 1 additional Nerts card for each 25 points they have. There are a few new technical details that go with this:

Switching a lobby to public will lock these settings to their defaults.
When a non-hosting player joins a public lobby it will be locked to public.
Lobby settings cannot be changed while a game is in progress.

We've also added a "Sponsorship Package" DLC that you can purchase to unlock a NERTS! Online themed card back and a special holographic foil effect you can use with it or any of the other card backs. I'm a little embarrassed to have created what is basically an in-app purchase, but we've had a number of requests from players who wanted to give us money to show their appreciation for NERTS! Online and we wanted to give them something fun back in return.
