Version 0.02.09 - Significant performance boost — Nira News

Hi everyone! I've been quiet for a while but haven't been sitting around. As some of you might know Nira is coming to Switch, which required some performance issues to be solved. To get the game running on Switch I've rewritten parts of the world generator to spread the loading of chunks much more evenly than before. This resulted not only in a huge performance boost, but also caused the overall game to run much more stable and smooth when moving around.

-Significantly increased performance with new map generator
-Added fades to respawn sequence
-Added last death icon to compass
-Added a reload prompt when magazine is empty
-Changed weapons to be reloaded when collecting them from chest in dungeons
-Fixed a bug where sharks wouldn't attack properly
-Fixed a bug where pop sound would play double during crafting
-Fixed a bug where tutorials wouldn't play
-Fixed a bug where not all tutorials were listed in Tutorials menu
-Fixed a bug with movements speeds in low FPS
-Fixed a bug where armor wouldn't show when riding animals and vehicles
-Fixed localization issues in tutorial
-Removed possibility of animals and merchants to drown
