Everyone here at General Interactive hopes that you and your loved ones are happy, healthy, and safe. Following October's V1.1 update for Day One, we are pleased to introduce V1.2 today, bringing a whole host of changes, informed by the much appreciated feedback from all of our wonderful players. So thank you!
Here's everything coming to Chinatown Detective Agency: Day One with V1.2:
- Introduced a new Windowed Version of the game (which will make it easier for players to do their research and use their web browsers while keeping the game active)
- You’re now given money at the end of mission 2
- Fixed a bug where shooting Philip’s arm resulted in him dying - he will now successfully survive. Also fixed a bug where Amira walked into the apartment whilst holding the gun.
- Added subtitles to cutscenes
- Restructured how emails work and updated email UI
- Amira can no longer be moved whilst sleeping (sadly)
- Added in more SFX and fixed audio controls not functioning on Mac devices
- Resolved some further freezing issues within the game
- Resolved some more minor graphical issues
We took longer than anticipated with this update, and thus fixed more than we planned. Because of this there will only be one more update for Day One, with all further changes being incorporated into the full game, which will be releasing in 2021.
