The Wake is the last of Somi’s “Guilt Trilogy,” consisting of Replica and Legal Dungeon. The Wake discovers past emotions and wounds through the process of reading and deciphering the journal.

The game developer Somi aspires to deliver his thoughts and stories to people through games.
Replica describes his guilt regarding to widespread signs of fascism in his country. Legal Dungeon shows his sorrow over the dehumanized legal system which is related to his own job.
And finally in The Wake, Somi focuses on his deeper root of guilt. The game is filled with his own memories and past wounds.
I hope the distress of the single person can be a source of comport to someone else.
