The "Fair Weather" update is now LIVE ːsteamhappyː

"Fair Weather" is a large care and support update aimed at allowing more people to enjoy the game.
Many improvements and system based features have been added, and every nook and cranny has been optimised to make the game run great on lower spec machines, but also truly shine for those with great systems!

At the same time, we've polished a lot of things where we could improve the look and feel of the game without sacrificing performance.

Major changes....

NEW: Added official OpenGL support for those suffering from DirectX issues! A lot of people have eagerly been awaiting this, we're happy to say it's finally here!
NEW: brand new occlusion system. This gives a large performance improvement for machines that struggle to draw high amounts of geometry.
NEW: ambient occlusion system. Faster and smoother, the new system looks great at a fraction of the cost.
NEW: new radiosity system. Our realtime radiosity is the cornerstone of our lighting technology. This new version is a lot faster and more directly supported on a larger range of hardware.
IMPROVEMENT: optimised LOD and mesh management system.
IMPROVEMENT: faster, prettier shaders.
IMPROVEMENT: optimised general CPU and GPU usage
IMPROVEMENT: reduced issues due to world streaming. Less performance hiccups/hitching when running around the world.
IMPROVEMENT: streaming + loading optimisations. You can now get into the game world very rapidly!
IMPROVEMENT: saving system. The game can now save super-fast so there's no hiccups when auto-saving.
FIX: camera glitch that can occur on saving
FIX: resolved a crash that can occur when hiring farm hands for your farm - boy was it fun chasing that one down!
FIX: solved a very rare, but repeatable crash when at Arcadia
FIX: instances of some NPCs falling out of world
FIX: serious physics glitch on slower computers
FIX: out of memory issues on some low spec machines
FIX: multiple collision issues
FIX: Shader/Material bug on some older GPU's
FIX: startup crashes with some older CPU's
FIX: solved multiple areas of player getting stuck on collision
FIX: Escape key not working for some microsoft keyboards
FIX: scroll wheel issues on emulated mice
FIX: crazy mouse sensitivity on track pad
FIX: wide screen aspect ratio issue on a menu
FIX: crash with a specific multi-gpu setup
FIX: solved the focus issue on Windows 8 and 3 monitor setup
FIX: serious physics glitch on slower computers

FIX: Fixed a case where Maggie would freeze game
FIX: Resolved rare save game not loading correctly when DLC item was in use

FIX: crashes/lockup due to halloween event
FIX: issues with Scarecrow quest
FIX: achievements now working in offline mode (finally!)
