Hello Miners!
After two-player saves came out, many of you asked when single-player games could be saved too. With this update, all six single-player modes can be saved, and there's a new Casual mode.

Saving single-player games
Classic and Casual: after each level, click the blue "Save" button in the top left of the shop. Saving costs 10% of the money you have above this level's goal, and at least 10% of how much the next goal goes up. In Casual it never costs more than the next goal's increase. You can't save if you can't pay.
No Limits, Online Strategy, Online Action and Original save for free: pause during a level and choose "Save and Quit". Next time you start that level again from the beginning. Modes with a shop can also save there, and you continue from the next level.

Each mode has its own save slot. When you pick a mode on the mode select screen, the game asks if you want to continue your last game in that mode.
Choosing "New Game" does not delete your save. The next time you save, the new save replaces the old one. Each save can be loaded once: when you continue and start the next level, it is used up.
Saves sync with Steam Cloud, so you can continue on another computer with the same Steam account.
Continued Classic and Casual games are checked and go on the leaderboards like any other game.
Casual mode
It's the leftmost card at the bottom of the mode select screen.
The rules are the same as Classic, with the shop, slot machine and freeze box. From level 7 on, each goal only goes up by $1,000, so you can play for as long as you like.
Casual has its own leaderboard, ranked by money. Casual games don't count for the 24K achievement.
Controls help
In Settings > Controls, the extra key rows now show the original key too, for example "(extra key, default ←)".
For your first 3 launches, level 1 of a single-player game shows a short controls hint at the bottom. It switches between keyboard and controller keys on its own.
If you press the dynamite key with no dynamite, the game tells you that you can buy some in the shop.
Remote Play Together
When a friend joins or leaves through Steam Remote Play Together, the game tells you once, with your friend's Steam name.
While a friend is connected, the two-player title screen shows "Remote Play connected" at the top.
The tips after you send an invite are clearer: your friend doesn't need to own the game, sees your screen in Steam and plays with their own controller. Keep your game window in front, or your friend's input pauses.
Smoother on integrated graphics
On computers with integrated graphics, the game turns on Integrated Graphics Mode the first time it starts. It turns off some glow effects and the picture gets a little softer, for a smoother frame rate. You can turn it off in Settings > Graphics.
On laptops that have a dedicated graphics card but run the game on integrated graphics, the game tells you how to set it to "High performance" in Windows settings.
"Software Rendering" is now called "No-GPU Mode".
On high refresh rate monitors (above 60 Hz), the claw swings more smoothly (the game's frame rate now follows your monitor's refresh rate).

Legacy Version removed
When you launch from Steam, the "Legacy Version (Compatibility)" option is gone, and the install is smaller. Since October the new version also runs on older Steam clients. If you used the Legacy Version until now and the game no longer starts, please send us a ticket.
Fixes
Fixed a rare crash when closing the game window with the ✕ button.
If you have questions or ideas, post in the discussions or send us a ticket.
Also, our new game Gold Miner: Party Rush is Coming soon. Up to 6 players can dig for gold together. Come give it a try!
