IMPORTANT CHANGES
Possession Evidence Removed
Possession has officially been removed as an evidence type.
Previously, having eight evidence types across the ghost roster meant that identifying just two pieces of evidence could sometimes narrow an investigation down to only two possible ghosts.
Removing Possession allows more ghost possibilities to remain after finding evidence, encouraging players to investigate further and pay closer attention to ghost behaviours.
What this means:
More ghost possibilities remain when narrowing down evidence.
Investigations require more consideration and deduction.
Multiple ghosts have received updated evidence combinations.
Ghost behavioural evidence has NOT changed.
Possession was selected for removal because it was the only evidence type without unique ghost behaviours attached to it.
Early Access Reward: Anyone who played Severance before 1.0 will receive a Possessed Doll to keep in their lobby as a reminder of the original evidence system!
Full Release Progression Reset
With the introduction of the new progression and Prestige systems, a progression reset is necessary to ensure everyone begins on the newly balanced system.
The following will be reset:
Player levels
Money
Equipment
Lobby progression
General progression
Halloween Event progress and rewards will NOT be reset.
This reset provides a fresh start for the new progression system, including updated XP balancing, equipment unlocks, and item pricing.

Players who finished in the Top 20 of the Early Access leaderboard will receive an exclusive, permanent Legacy Title.
These titles will appear on player cards in lobbies and will remain with those players forever.

THANK YOU FOR EARLY ACCESS!
Reaching 1.0 is a huge milestone for Severance.
From the original Early Access release to today, the game has changed massively, and much of that has been thanks to the feedback, suggestions, bug reports, and continued support from our community.
To everyone who has reported a bug, shared an idea, created content, left a review, or simply spent time playing Severance - thank you.
While 1.0 marks the end of Early Access, it doesn't mean the end of Severance's development.
We'll continue listening to feedback, improving the experience, addressing issues, and working on what comes next.
Whether you're returning after a break or playing for the very first time, we hope you enjoy everything that 1.0 has to offer.
