Hail, Lords & Ladies! ⚔️
The forges are lit, the anvils are ringing, and the smiths of March of Empires have been busy. Update 87 arrives on 27th October, bringing new armor, new heroes, and a small hint of what’s to come.
⚔️ Commander Gear: Armor Worthy of a Saga
No legend ever walked into battle bare-headed. Your commanders can now wear Gear, with four slots to fill: Helmet, Chest, Boots & Gloves
Every piece is attuned to a unit type, so a spear-wielder wears spear-wielder’s armor. Match the gear to your commander, and the steel will answer. Pieces come in rarities from Common to the fabled Mythic.
Don’t have time to fuss over every piece? Tap Quick Equip and your commander will march out in a solid loadout built from what’s already in your vault. A true king delegates.
🔥 The Forge Awaits
Gear can be strengthened in the brand-new Mastery Forge, either with the new Gear XP items or by recycling gear you no longer need. Nothing is wasted. If a sacrifice gives more strength than the upgrade needs, the surplus is saved as Gear XP for later.
Those who earn their first Legendary piece will discover the Mastery Forge. There, Forgestones can push gear all the way to its final form: Mythic. Mythic items reach new heights of power and carry Infusion Stats, which grant bonuses the rest of the armory can only dream of.
🗡️ New Commanders Join the Fray
The Executioner, Karn (Spears) A spear commander who hunts the wounded. His Execute ability gives your units a chance to cut down squads weakened below a health threshold. Pair him with his virtue Cleave, and strikes can carve into additional foes for 50% damage.
The Druid, Dusk (Ranged) A ranged commander who thrives on endurance. Tranquility cleanses all negative effects from your army every 7 turns and grants a spell of resistance. His virtue Remedy mends the wounds of any squad over 3 turns after they take damage.
👀 One More Thing
Why all this armor, you ask? Consider it preparation. Something is stirring beyond the walls, a place where commander will meet commander and only the victor’s name will be sung by the crowds. Outfit your best warriors while there’s time.
More to be revealed soon.
Thank you for charging by our side. Sharpen your axes, raise your shields, and we’ll see you on the battlefield. Valhalla awaits. 🛡️
