With that out of the way, it's time for White Knuckle to celebrate the spooky season! As mentioned in the Shortcuts and Accessibility Update post, we've been hard at work on Core so this year's Halloween event is smaller than last year's... But that's not to say there isn't exciting new stuff!
A Growing Terror
Something big is creeping its way into your Campaign and Endless runs, and it's here to stay. As long as you've previously made it as far as the Nest, you can start your climb, don't take shortcuts, and you can't miss it.
New Nightmarish Cosmetics
This All Hallows Eve you can now unlock and find two new cosmetics to improve your aura throughout the Superstructure:
The Final Girl is a classic horror trope - the last woman standing after a night of carnage. As such we think it's appropriate for you to show off your mastery over the monsters of White Knuckle with the Final Girl Hands.
Ripped off of some unknown species of enormous Lambda roach? Certainly. Repurposed into a hammer? Yes! Crash this makeshift tool into your pitons and foes - a gruesome display for sure.
Other Frightening Features
Spooky Safe Zones
Just like last year, we've decorated your safe areas with pumpkins and cauldrons of delicious candy. They may just be cans of food in disguise, but never tell the trick-or-treaters that.
Scary Encounters
The Superstructure can be a horrifying place, and we're cranking that handwheel to make it even scarier. That's right, there are new random events sprinkled throughout the game for you to find. They may be rare, but know that your game is forever changed.
