Dreams Come True: Mistel 2 — War Thunder News

[p align="justify"]

[p align="justify"]Sometimes, things happen that you wouldn’t even dare to dream of. Meet the Mistel 2, a very peculiar aircraft(s!), featuring a Fw 190 literally carrying a Ju 88 bomb. Due to this unusual configuration, it earned the nickname “Father and Son”. By taking part in Air Battles, you can also earn a decal of the same name, a “Child with a Bomb” decal and a “Mistletoe” (the literal translation of “Mistel”) profile frame!

From October 28th (11:00 GMT) until November 11th (11:00 GMT), earn mission points in Air Battles, unlock stages and receive rewards!

Mistel 2: A Premium Bomber for Germany at Rank III

[p align="justify"]The Mistel 2 is one of the most unusual strike systems in history. It consists of a combination of two aircraft: an Fw 190 A-8 fighter, stripped of its armament to reduce takeoff weight, and a Ju 88 G-1 bomber, the forward section of which was converted into a massive bomb equipped with a shaped-charge warhead. During flight, the pilot in the fighter’s cockpit would direct the bomber-aircraft toward the target; the attachments holding the two planes together would then be released, allowing the bomber-aircraft to fly toward its target in a straight line, guided by an autopilot.

Among the rewards in the event is also this chest. When opened, there is a chance of receiving one of the following items:

50,000 - 100,000 Silver Lions
Silver Lion and Research Point boosters
Random Wagers and Orders
Universal Backups (1 - 3)
A random camouflage for a vehicle you own
1 day of Premium Account

How to get all rewards

Each stage is unlocked for 35,000 mission points and brings a new reward.

Please note: Once the stage is unlocked, you will need to claim your reward manually. To do this, click on your profile, select the “Dreams Come True: Mistel” category, and click Claim Prize.

[p align="justify"]You’re able to earn mission points in Air Battles at Rank III or above in Arcade, Realistic and Simulator Battles. The number of mission points to complete a stage depends on the game mode and the maximum Rank of the vehicle that you use in battle. There’s a multiplier for earning mission points, which is shown in the task description in-game.

[p align="justify"]You can also earn mission points by using event vehicles that are Rank I and II. Event vehicles that can be used have the name of the event that they were obtainable in on their stat card.

Stages change every two days at 11:00 GMT: October 30th and November 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th.

Discounts on purchasing stages using Golden Eagles

[p align="justify"]Incomplete stages can be purchased for Golden Eagles, but if you’re significantly close to completing a stage, its price will be significantly reduced.

[p align="justify"]Let’s say you have earned 85% of the required mission points to complete a stage, then the price of purchasing this stage will be halved. If you’re near the finish line for a stage and are at 95% progress, then the price will be reduced by five times. For example, if you’ve earned 30,000 mission points, then the price for unlocking this stage will be 499 Golden Eagles. If you’ve earned 33,500 mission points, then you’ll only need 199 Golden Eagles. Keep this in mind if you cannot complete a stage on time!

Tracking your progress

[p align="justify"]You can track the progress of completing stages by clicking on your Nickname > Achievements > Dreams Come True: Mistel. If you don’t manage to complete a stage on time or would like to purchase a stage, you can purchase each stage with Golden Eagles until November 14th from the Achievements window, which will give you the corresponding rewards.
