Changelog

- Fixed bug that could generate bank networks without service 141 or without redirected port forwarding.

- Fixed crash when opening the Translation Editor if there was a custom translation with invalid content at Translation/custom_lang.json

- Updated the Translation Editor to follow the new global keyword highlighting rules.

- Added 4 new procedural mission archetypes at police stations and a new archetype for hackshops, for a total of 8 procedural missions across hackshops and police stations.

- Added new mechanics to procedural missions, including file permissions, encryption, timestamps, and scripting for solving clues.

- Improved guild ranking calculation performance. Rankings are now updated correctly when queried, instead of only when the player checked the company through Stocks.exe

- Various performance improvements to network generation.

- The desktop trash icon now changes to indicate that it contains items.

- "to_int" now behaves like "val". Empty or non numeric strings now return 0 instead of the original text.

- Fixed bug: .delete() and .send() on MetaMail return "read: No internet access." instead of the correct method name.

[Nightly] Update v0.9.7305

- chmod now requires the user to be the file owner or root.

- File.set_owner now requires root privileges to transfer ownership to another user, including root itself.

- File.set_group allows owners to select only groups they belong to. root can assign any group.

- Removed the requirement for write access to the item in order to change its owner or group.

- Redesigned Map.exe as a shared history across windows, with a maximum of 64 IPs visited from terminals during the session. For performance reasons, the map’s connection lines and their associated logic have been removed. Automatic centering when registering a connection has been restored, and a button to clear the history has been added.

- Adapted the selector and arrows to navigate through visits and center the map.

- IPs remain on the map when disconnected or when their windows are closed. Once the limit is reached, the oldest visits are discarded. Reconnecting to an IP moves it to the end of the history.

- Fixed bug in Map.exe that prevented opening a terminal and running nmap when clicking on a node. If nmap is not installed, the error is now displayed in the terminal.

- Fixed bug where bounce chains initiated from Map.exe continued after an SSH failure. They now stop at the first failure, preserve previous connections, and return terminal control to the player.

- Fixed bug in Map.exe that caused an exception when searching with an empty IP field. The warning "Invalid address" is now displayed.

- Fixed bug in Map.exe when starting a bounce chain without any saved devices. A warning is now displayed, and the terminal is prevented from opening.

- Fixed the Map.exe no-connection warning, which now updates when the network is connected or disconnected without needing to reopen the map.

- Fixed bug in Map.exe that displayed "Address not found" when searching for certain valid public IPs whose network had not yet been generated.

- Improved hardware lots for resale. The hardware pack is now 15% cheaper and all parts now have a minimum quality rating of 5/10, and hard drives offer at least 1 GB of capacity. Reduced the hardware batch timeout from 24 to 6 hours, about 25 real minutes.

- Fixed bug that could kick the player for spamming when holding down Ctrl+C in the terminal. Now only one cancellation is processed per keypress.

- Fixed bug where killing an SSH terminal with open subshells caused system.log to record the remote server’s IP instead of the connection’s source IP.

- Fixed an issue in 0day challenge generation that could create identical consecutive instructions, making the identification of a deleted line ambiguous and causing equally valid answers to be rejected.

- Fixed bug that could interrupt 0day mission generation when assigning contacts to informants. The final network now ensures that one contact always remains available.

- Fixed bug that allowed a 0day mission to be started by replying to the email after the rumor had expired, resulting in a mission that could not be completed.

- Fixed bug that could overwrite the initial clue for 0day missions when generating random conversations with the same name.

- Fixed rare bug where two quest NPCs could be assigned the same last name, overwriting their data and altering the intended credentials. Duplicate last names are now prevented among quest NPCs.

- Fixed rare bug that could assign the same debug_tools login username to different players, preventing one of them from using their credentials. A different username is now generated if the initial one is already registered.

- Fixed rare bug that could generate incomplete 0day mission chains due to there not being enough IPs for the internally obtained group.

- Fixed Bug #566: processes persist if terminal closed on rented servers

- Fixed Bug #124: No connection closed entry after crash

- Fixed Bug #1267: poll_input not updating properly

- Fixed Bug #1263: whenever I buy something I get it double

[Nightly] Update v0.9.7259

- Fixed a race condition that could occur when restarting the MP session while the previous player instance had not yet finished pending work, causing client updates, such as file copies and deletions from the UI, to stop being received.

- Fixed an internal crash when stopping scripts that had already finished or were in the process of finishing.

- Improved script shutdown so that a failure to stop one does not prevent attempts to stop the others.

[Nightly] Update v0.9.7256

- Added file and folder timestamps, displayed in ls -l and FTP listings and accessible through the new file.date scripting method.

- Files and folders created by players receive the current game date and time. Saving text updates the file’s timestamp, while compiling updates the generated binary’s timestamp. Copying, moving, and renaming preserve timestamps. Symbolic links have their own timestamps. Folder timestamps do not automatically change when their contents change.

- Devices initially receive varied file and folder timestamps predating the world’s start date. On player computers and rentals, the user’s home directory, its contents, and /etc/passwd receive the current game date and time during setup.

- Improved Browser "no connection" page design when there is no internet connection.

- Disabled SSH, FTP, and email login for accounts belonging to fired or deceased NPCs. The message "This account is disabled" is displayed, also blocking emails from being sent from these accounts from previously opened email sessions.

- Improved the Terminal's text selection system so that it shares the improvements previously implemented in Notepad/CodeEditor

- Fixed bug on the bank page where sections for scheduled payments were displayed incorrectly.

- Fixed Bug #1260: Copying from debug_tools in Terminal doesn't copy the text fully

- Fixed Bug #1068: print("") only prints a blank line when used with other print() calls

- Fixed Bug #1061: Indents in the Code Editor only count as one character for the scroll bar

[Nightly] Update v0.9.7239

- Fixed bug in apt-get addrepo that displayed a success message without adding the repository when using a custom port. An error is now also displayed if the entered port is not numeric.

- Fixed bug that made it possible to cause accidents in smart appliances using arbitrary values. Power and temperature must now exactly match those specified in the model's manual.

- Applying the correct values with the safety alarm enabled saves the settings and returns a warning, but does not cause an accident.

- Disabling the alarm with the correct values already saved causes the accident, without needing to reapply the settings.

- Fixed CodeEditor documentation to indicate that the set_alarm.enable parameter is of type bool

- Fixed bug that caused shop programs downloaded via apt or scp to be read only and lack execute permissions.

[Nightly] Update v0.9.7216

- The Desktop and file explorer now update automatically when permissions, owner, or group are changed.

- Desktop icons reappear when permissions are restored, without restarting the game and while retaining their positions, including after restoring them from safe mode.

- Fixed an incorrect "can't find remote process" error message that could appear when quickly opening and closing the file explorer via a script.
