Hello everyone, it's good to see you. It's Tomo.
It's been ten days since the 16:9 update went live.
We've been going through your feedback one by one and fixing things as we go.
I had mentioned that there might be some awkward spots or things we missed for a while, and that we would fix them quickly to raise the overall quality.
Even so, seeing the inquiries from those of you who are running into inconveniences right now, I feel truly sorry and it weighs on my heart.
We will keep making fixes.
And for future large-scale system updates, we will also improve how we test a wider range of cases and how we apply changes, so that the quality is higher from the start.
Today I've prepared three topics:
improvements since the 16:9 update, a preview of Awakening Expansion - Unleashed Part 2 on November 4,
and how the development team is responding to illegal tools.

【 Improvements Since 16:9 】
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
◼︎ What we changed based on your feedback
Since the update, many of you sent us feedback about the screen and text.
We especially heard that the resolution you wanted wasn't available, that the chat text was small and blurry,
and that the empty space on both sides of the PvP screen was disappointing.
Following last week's fixes, this week we've made the following additional changes.
▸ We added resolutions in various aspect ratios, including the 1024 resolution that was previously available.
They can now be applied to wide monitors again.
▸ We increased the text size of the chat window, character names, and major UI, and removed the condition that could make text smaller depending on resolution.
▸ We identified cases where text could look blurry when the font size was too small, and improved this.
▸ We removed the letterbox on the PvP screen and added an option to fill the entire screen.
◼︎ Next improvements
Some of you also told us that monster names are hard to read.
We plan to adjust how monster names are displayed overall sometime next week.
We'll make the text larger and clean up the level display, which has become less important.
We'll also keep improving cases where the font is still too small, or where things look off on certain monitor setups.
◼︎ Improvements after DirectX 11
Text that's hard to read at high resolutions,
and your own character being hard to spot during combat, are things we've wanted to improve for a long time.
We plan to improve both of these together with the DirectX 11 update.
We also expect other areas to get better as well, such as smoother full-screen switching.

◼︎ Lire and Decanee
In Awakening Expansion - Unleashed Part 2 on November 4, the Awakenings of Lire, Decanee, Jin, and Rufus will be expanded.
Today, I'd like to show you Lire's and Decanee's skills first.
These are still works in progress, so things may look a little different in the actual update. Thank you for understanding, and we hope you enjoy looking forward to it!
▸ [4th Bar Skill] Archer (1st Job) - Sudden Raid

We improved it so the arrows no longer disappear when they hit an enemy.
We kept the original flight path of the arrows while refining the hit detection and visual effects.
▸ [Unleashed 4th Bar Skill] Arch Ranger (3rd Job)

▸ [TYPE3 Skill] Decanee - Dark Astraphe TYPE3

We strengthened the attack concept inspired by Kaze'aze from the Tower of Disappearance.
We expect it to be more effective against large monsters.
▸ [Unleashed 4th Bar Skill] Decanee

We applied a concept where the monster behind Kaze'aze in the Tower of Disappearance attacks directly with its legs.
It's still in development, so the hit detection and frequency will be refined further.
We'll show you Jin's and Rufus's skills in our next update.

【 On Our Response to Illegal Tools 】
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
◼︎ First, an apology
Recently, through inquiries, Discord, and other channels, we received reports of players playing abnormally using macros and hacking tools.
Since receiving these reports, we have been carefully reviewing how to strengthen our data detection and how to handle sanctions.
We know the frustration and anger felt by those of you who play honestly, investing your time and effort, and we are taking this very seriously.
We apologize for our late response, and we will strengthen sanctions so that this is no longer something you need to worry about.
◼︎ Current status of sanctions
Grand Chase uses a security program to catch and block illegal tools every day.
However, we recognize that there are limits to fully blocking increasingly sophisticated macros and external tools with a single program.
That's why we are greatly strengthening the way we detect and sanction abnormal play by directly analyzing play records and item acquisition data.
Since receiving the reports, we have already secured a large amount of abnormal play data.
A large number of sanctions will be carried out soon.
Beyond the reported accounts, we are also reviewing all records of abnormally large item gains.
◼︎ Why it may take a little time
To make sure no innocent player is wrongly affected, we are reviewing the conditions for each sanction target one by one and organizing the supporting evidence.
Because of this, it may take a little time before action is actually taken.
All records and items obtained through abnormal means remain on our servers.
I want to make one promise: no matter how long it takes, we will verify everything to the end and carry out account sanctions and item recovery.
◼︎ A request we'd like to make
There are also problems that arise from entrusting your account to someone else or sharing it with others.
Among players sanctioned for using illegal tools, some say, "Someone else who was using my account used the tool."
Unfortunately, even in such cases, the use of illegal tools cannot be justified.
Please do not share your account with others, and please pay close attention to your account security.
◼︎ Going forward
Taking this as an opportunity, we will improve how the development team identifies and responds to reports sent through inquiries, Discord, and other channels, so that we can act more quickly.
We will also add more staff in charge of communication within the development team, so that we can check and take action faster.
We will never compromise on protecting a fair environment where you can play with confidence.
