The legendary turn-based strategy series, Sid Meier's Civilization, just celebrated its 35th anniversary. Since 1991, the Civ development team at Firaxis games have been challenging players to build civilizations that can stand the test of time and empires that redefine the world in their image.
"Sid's original premise was: 'Let's put all of human history in a box and make it fun." - Ed Beach, Creative Director of the Civilization franchise
Polygon recently paid a visit to the studio to chronicle the history of Civilization, from Sid's earliest games to the massive success of Civilization VII and its upcoming expansion, Earthrise.
