With this update there should be a big performance improvement, especially in multiplayer games and for lower end devices. Load times should also be faster, with less video and system memory usage used while loading the game.
Some additional changes:
Crates will now break when charged through
Crates fall from the sky sometimes, moreso near end of game as there is less hay for crates to spawn inside
