Knights and mercs - let's hit a midweek update with a rebuild of the game's action camera for more dynamic and exciting (and reliable) camera looks in combat, improve the rules for drone/human limited Talents to avoid issues with AOE crossing the line, and fixing your F10s around maps, storylines and typos. Thanks to everyone for playing and posting this week.
If you are enjoying the game and the updates and improvements, we hope you'll tell a friend and leave a review! ːsteamhappyː
Our Save Game Policy and Updates
As always, we take your saved games very, very seriously. Since you'll always be seeing a lot of updates around here, we want to reiterate our saved game policy so everyone understands our commitment to your games. No saved game will ever be invalidated by an update. All new content and features will be added immediately to all saved games (with the reasonable exception of New Game options). You never have to restart if you don't want to. This is a studio commitment that we have made and kept for many years and games. We stand by it. So do not stress about the many updates that will continue to come - heist on my good heisters.
Modders have Preview Modkit!
We are excited to announce that the first wave of interested modders now have the preview modkit and are making exciting things with Cyber Knights: Flashpoint. This preview process will go on for a bit as we welcome additional interested modders into the group in waves, but will wrap up before the end of the year.
The really exciting part about this for you - as players - is that when the modkit is released before the end of 2026, it will come with a host of ready-to-play mods!
If you are a modder who is interested in getting early preview access to our modding tools, please let us know you're interested here: https://forms.gle/EHHKHFFjU6Yo7G1Y6 and we will reach out soon.
Update #106 includes a new modder console and other tools to help improve the speed of creating and testing mods.
Rebuilt Combat Action Camera

With Update #106, we've come back to one of the systems that gives the most oomph and interest to combat - the combat action camera. This is the rig that is in charge of choosing camera positioning and motion during attacks ( with various rules for melee, single target ranged, full auto, large targets like turrets) and for ensuring that a clear and clean shot is composed (avoiding props, or other things that block line of sight to the action).
We've completed a rebuild of this system to expand the number of possible action camera angles and shot types - in short we've multiplied the total action camera setups by 4X as well as adding new effects and dynamic variables (randomness in distance and rotations) that can help keep the game's action cameras feeling fresh even in the heat of some back and forth battle.
In addition to improving the action camera setups, we've added new effects - specifically the ability for the camera to cut to the ragdoll of a dying enemy dramatically, some screen shake to sell some attacks and some minor time dilations (slowly doing the game speed for less than a second) to make some hits feel a little more dramatic.
Notably, if you dislike the camera shake there is an option to turn it off in the Options > Gameplay tab.

Drone & Human Talents Rules Tightened

With Update #106, we've also dug deep on all of the known issues on Talents that are limited to either effect only drones or only humans and how it was possible that sometimes they would cross that line in either AOE effects or through persistent map area buff or debuffs.
We've tightened up the whole rule set, so that Talents that apply AOE or a Full Auto debuff no longer sneak across this line. Talents like EMP and N-Coat were prime cheaters here - both are limited to drones but their AOE or Full Auto targeting would let the buff hit humans as well.
In addition, we've cleaned up persistent map effects like Tox Cloud that could later catch a drone inside them and debuff the drone even though it is clearly intended to be an organic-only effect.
v2.7.99 - #106: Close-Up Action - 10/20/2026
- Rebuilt action camera stack to have more dynamic and better focus on attacks, Full Auto attacks and kills
- New combat camera is more dynamic, offering a cooler range of looks and better at keeping everything in view (avoiding props, edge of screen)
- New combat camera includes cooler effects like shake, a cut to the kill, and dramatic slow downs
- New option in Gameplay > to disable combat action camera shake
- Fixed rules for all Talents that affect drones or cannot affect drones to avoid effects breaking rules through AOE or persistent map areas with buff/debuff
- Fixed Talents like Tox Cloud (no longer poisons drones), EMP (no longer hurts nearby humans), N-Coat debuffing human Full Auto targets
- Fixed map bugs and line of sight issues
