Update 2.6.4
A small patch: a few quality-of-life tweaks for streamers and a round of bug fixes.
Settings
- Display Mode: the Fullscreen switch under Settings > Display is now a selector with Fullscreen, Windowed and Borderless. Borderless fills the screen with a window, so you can switch to OBS without the game minimizing. If you had Fullscreen on, it stays Fullscreen; otherwise it becomes Windowed.
- FPS Limit: a new setting under Settings > Visuals, below V-Sync, with 30, 60, 120, 144 and Uncapped (the default). A limit leaves more of your PC free for OBS and other apps. Picking a limit turns V-Sync off; turning V-Sync back on sets the limit to Uncapped.
Grand Prix
- When drivers finish level on points, the final podium now says why one of them ranks higher: MORE WINS, MORE #2 FINISHES and so on, or BETTER IN RACE 5 when even their finishing places match. The tie-break rules themselves are unchanged.
- The companion app banner in a Grand Prix lobby keeps its full size and moves up to make room for the Grand Prix row, instead of shrinking.
Nitro
- A new 3,750 Nitro package for $49.99 replaces the 835 Nitro package in the Buy Nitro window.
- Bigger packages show how much extra Nitro they give compared with the cheapest package.
- The 420 Nitro package is marked MOST POPULAR and the 3,750 Nitro package BEST VALUE.
Bug fixes
- The follow camera keeps following its car when you click away from the game, for example to OBS. Only the camera controls pause until you return.
- Cars that a ramp launches past a bend no longer drive all the way back across the map. They respawn at the part of the track they missed, or carry on if they land on the road further along.
- Cars no longer start inside or behind the pit building. The starting grid is packed closer together and stays in the open start area, also with 250 racers.
- Names on the race leaderboard are readable in every Twitch chat color. The background is darker and dark chat colors are shown lighter; the color bar next to each name keeps the exact chat color.
- On ultrawide screens, the lobby and results buttons no longer cover the game settings rows.
- The Racecar's exhaust and boost effects point the right way again.
