🍃 Hello Explorers!
Hennessy has been on Sota7 for a while now. She has scanned hundreds of plants and befriended more animals than EON ever planned for. Now it's time to make her stay a little more comfortable.
The Suit Yourself Update is here, and it's all about doing things your way. New outfits and hairstyles, a new figurine to hunt down, a new quest for everyone who has finished the game, consumables that are actually worth cooking, labeled zones and regions on the map, Engineer settings you can change anytime, and a pile of quality-of-life improvements you've been asking for.
Suit up and let's dive in! ːhennesmileː
👗 Fresh Outfits for Finishers
First up, something new to wear. We're adding 3 new outfits, 4 new hairstyles and 1 bracelet.

One of the new outfits is yours right away, no strings attached. The rest takes a little more effort, because EON doesn't just hand out fashion for free.
If you've finished the game, head out and look for the databoxes scattered across the map. That's where the other two outfits and the new hairstyles are waiting. Track them down, dress up, and finally give Hennessy's old jumpsuit a well-deserved rest.

⚠️ Important note: the bracelet isn't in a databox! It's lying somewhere out there on the map, so keep your eyes peeled during your next trip. |
Found them all? Use a Mirror, open Photo Mode, strike a pose and share some photos of Hennessy in her new jumpsuit on our Discord. We want to see it!

🍲 Cooking Worth the Effort
Until now, a crafted dish or drink mostly passed as a better version of the plants you made it from. Basically, you cooked, and the result was a slightly improved version of the ingredient in your hand.
But not anymore! We reworked 28 recipes, and every crafted dish and drink now gives noticeably more than the sum of its ingredients. Most of them also carry their own effects: positive, negative and neutral. Somnia Tea, for example, makes the local wildlife ignore you, but it also makes you tired faster. Cooking is a decision now, not a formality, and some recipes are worth the detour on their own. As a bonus, dishes now weigh half as much as before.

The panels around them were rebuilt to match. Effect rows no longer break after the first word, related effects sit together on one row, regeneration is shown as a percentage, instant effects no longer linger in the list as if they were still running, and the Engineer difficulty multiplier is visible right in the panel. All of the new effect texts are available in all 13 languages.
🗺️ You Are Here (Finally)
The map used to tell you where you were standing and very little else. Now it tells you precisely where you are.
Regions and biomes are now labeled, tribe locations are marked, and the areas that drain your immunity are drawn directly on the map, so you can see the dangerous grounds before you walk into them instead of after. Discovery fog and the map colors were reworked to go with all of it, which makes the map actually readable.

⚙️ Engineer Mode: Change Your Mind Anytime
Engineer mode lets you set your own rules. There was just one small problem. You had to set them all at the very start, and then live with your choices. Forever. Cranked up hunger and regretted it three hours later? Tough luck.
Not anymore! In Engineer mode, you can now change all of the mode's settings in-game, at any time. Turn hunger down, switch off aggressive animals, then crank everything back up when you're feeling brave. Suit yourself!
Options that leave a permanent mark on your world ask for a confirmation first, so you won't click something you didn't want to by accident.

🎒 Less Clicking, More Exploring
[p align="start"]Finally, a bunch of quality-of-life changes that should make everyday life on Sota7 a lot smoother.Auto Stack
Picking things up no longer leaves you with four half-empty piles of the same item. Items now stack together on their own, and they do it generously: two stacks with different durability merge and keep the better one. For the cases where that cannot happen automatically, for example after you split a stack by hand, there is an Auto Stack button in the inventory.

Take All / Store All
Storage screens finally get two new buttons that do what the text on the button says. Take All empties a container into your inventory, Store All sends your haul the other way, and coming home from a long run stops being an entire minute of only clicking.

Viper Handling
The Viper got a handling pass. We tuned its stiffness and the pull of gravity on it and polished how it reacts to what it rides over, so small plants and terrain edges no longer tip you off the board. That was one of the things you reported most often, so now getting around Sota7 should take a lot less staring at the ground in front of you.

That's not all! The update also brings plenty of smaller fixes and improvements. You'll find them all in the full changelog below.
📝 Full Changelog
New Content
A New Quest After the Ending: If you have finished the game, load the autosave the game makes just before the ending and a new quest starts on its own. The game tells you that this save is there if you want to keep playing. It works on saves you already have, as long as the game is finished on them.
New Outfits, Hairstyles and a Bracelet: Three new outfits, four new hairstyles and one bracelet. One outfit is available to everyone right away. The other two outfits and the hairstyles are hidden in databoxes scattered across the map and become available once you have finished the game. The bracelet is hidden somewhere on the map and can be found at any point in the game.
New Collectible Figurine: A new figurine is hidden somewhere on Sota7.
Consumables & Effects
Crafted Food and Drinks: Dishes and drinks you craft now give noticeably more than the sum of their ingredients, and most of them come with their own positive, negative and neutral effects instead of copying the plant they are made from.
Lighter Dishes: Crafted dishes now weigh 350 g instead of 700 g.
Medicines: Medicines no longer spoil, and their action now reads "Consume" instead of "Eat".
Porridges: Porridges now spoil like other food.
Immunity Syringe: The immunity syringe no longer wears out after 3 days.
Gummy Sticks Recipe: The recipe now unlocks when you pick up its own ingredient, Viscous Secretion.
Immunity Preview: Immunity gains in the item preview are now shown as a percentage.
Effects Panel: Long effect rows wrap instead of breaking after the first word, the item preview keeps a steady height and only shrinks for long lists of effects, sub-effects of the same kind are paired on one row, time is shown as "/h" everywhere, and the Immunity stat name is translated. All new effect texts are available in 13 languages.
Status Screen: Effect rows no longer repeat their values, regeneration is shown as a percentage, instant effects are no longer listed as if they were still running, and the difficulty multiplier is shown in the panel.
Stat Preview Side Effects: Fixed the inventory stat preview changing your actual character. Carry weight no longer jumps between 80 and 110 kg or doubles permanently, animals no longer start ignoring you just because you previewed Somnia Tea, a preview can no longer damage you, and a previewed sleep dart no longer skips real game time.
Difficulty & Settings
Gameplay Settings During a Run: On Engineer difficulty you can now change gameplay settings mid-run from the settings panel, with a confirmation for options that leave a permanent mark on the world. This also fixes immunity starting to drain earlier than it should after a settings change, resetting to defaults not sticking and quietly switching your difficulty, crafts already in progress ignoring a new crafting speed, quick load bringing back old setting values, and the settings screen opening in the wrong place when you start an Engineer run.
Controls
Key Bindings Overhaul: Rebinding a key in one control context no longer affects the others, and conflicts are reported only between contexts that can be active at the same time. The controls screen now fully supports gamepad: separate bindings per device, button icons instead of key names, and a confirmation before a key is taken away from another action.
Mouse Wheel Binding: The mouse wheel can now be assigned to actions, and if you bind a key in its place, each press counts as one step.
Controls Screen Cleanup: Removed rows that did nothing (Open Last Window, Toggle Signal Manager, Toggle run/walk, Reload), merged the AR, map and vehicle rows, folded Scan into "Use item", moved the drone scan to the Drones section, and merged entering and leaving the scout drone with returning to your character into one row. Rotating the building tool with nothing selected switches the hotbar only when rotation is bound to the wheel.
Map
Immunity Zones on the Map: Areas that drain immunity are now drawn on the map, together with region and biome names and tribe locations. Discovery fog and map colors were updated to match.
Interface & Inventory
Auto Stack: Items you pick up now stack together in your inventory on their own, and they do it generously: two stacks with different durability merge and keep the better one. For the cases where that cannot happen automatically, for example after you split a stack by hand, there is an Auto Stack button in the inventory.
Weight Display: Your maximum carry weight updates right away after a buff, without reopening the inventory.
Take All and Store All: Storage screens now have Take All and Store All buttons, so moving a full load in or out of a container takes one click.
Encumbrance After Death: Movement restrictions from carried weight come back after the death screen instead of during it.
Animals
Baby Animals Can Be Petted Again: Babies can be petted at the same reputation as adults, stage 1 for Camilla and Lonebid and stage 2 for the rest. They stop fleeing as soon as an adult in their nest reaches that reputation, and petting babies is disabled during the taming tutorial. We also fixed where the petting interaction registers on baby Camilla, Lonebid and Zhalo.
Birds: Birds fly lower and closer to you now, and they are visible again after a rendering fix.
Building & Farming
Automated Growpod: The automated growpod now harvests annual plants (herbs) as well.
Vehicles
Buggy Stuck in a Tree: Fixed being unable to leave the vehicle or use Unstuck when the buggy ends up hanging in a tree.
Hoverboard Tuning: Tuned the Viper's stiffness and the pull of gravity on it, so small plants and terrain edges no longer tip you off the board.
Quests & Progression
Dust Storm Never Triggered: If you picked up the Market memory core but the Dust Storm never started, the quest now starts automatically when you load or respawn, which unblocks The Door on saves you already have. We also added safeguards for Unstuck and for dying inside the Market.
Achievements & Compendium
Archivarium: The all-memory-cores achievement is now counted from the locks you actually filled, and granted when you load a save where you already did it.
Cartographer: The all-Igo-locations achievement counts a location as visited if you have been there or it is in your compendium, updates the moment you enter a location or unlock an entry, and is granted retroactively.
Hybrids: Hybrid achievements are re-checked every time a compendium entry unlocks.
Finished Game: If you have already finished the game, the achievements for it are granted when you load that save.
Location Triggers: The visit areas for the Hideout and the Stillheaven Meditation Center are larger now, so they register reliably.
Gate: Opening the big gate now unlocks its achievement.
Compendium Repair: Missing compendium entries are restored when you load your save, and the compendium keeps tracking your progress after the Studies achievement instead of stopping there.
