The moment has come: the new free Aeterna Lucis demo is now available on Steam.
It's built on the final game, so this is the closest you've ever been to the real Lucis. Explore the entire Tower of Light, unlock new powers, let a world that shifts around you surprise you, and face its first boss. It's our purest metroidvania yet.
What's waiting for you:
- Reworked movement, faster and smoother
- A new light-based navigation system
- A living atmosphere that changes as you explore
- A dynamic camera and a brand-new HUD
- Real-time dynamic lighting and exploration with no loading screens
- Both game modes: Aeterna and Lucis
- Colorblind accessibility options
And now, the most important part: we want to know how it feels to you. The good, the bad and the weird. Tell us in the Demo Feedback subforum here on Steam or on our Discord (#demo-feedback for impressions, #bug-reports for bugs). We read everything, and there's still time for your feedback to shape the final game.
Quick questions:
- Can I use the d-pad? Yes, on controller and on keyboard.
- Does my progress carry over to the full game? No, the demo is there to try it and enjoy it.
- What about consoles? There will be a console demo too, a bit later because of each platform's certification, but before launch.
The full game launches on December 3 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. If you enjoy it, add it to your wishlist 💛
