New difficulty: Perdition. Beat a map's 30:00 final boss to open it there, then choose a level from 1 to 9 in the expedition hall.
Each level keeps every rule of the levels below it and raises the score and soul multiplier, from x1.2 at Perdition 1 to x3.0 at Perdition 9.
Perdition 1, Elites' Toll: elites come more often, and opening an elite chest makes you take more damage for a while.
Perdition 2, Rough Start: for the first 12 minutes enemies are stronger, and elites carry a ward, split or venom trait.
Perdition 3, Greedy Pack: Greedy Mimics come three at a time from different directions.
Perdition 4, Shrine Raid: starting a shrine capture draws enemies in on the shrine, more of them later in the run.
Perdition 5, Stubborn Shrines: shrines take 1.5x as long to capture.
Perdition 6, Cursed Choice: only 2 Refreshes and 2 Removes per run, and a Cursed Gem that raises your Damage and EXP Gain but makes enemies stronger.
Perdition 7, Sinking Mud: every hit chips away at your Max HP, and killing a boss gives it back.
Perdition 8, Guarded Bosses: bosses bring out their next pattern early and arrive with 2 elite guards.
Perdition 9, Gauntlet: after the final boss a late boss returns for one more fight, and every boss uses its whole kit from the start.
Character select shows the highest Perdition level each character has cleared, and its details list the best level on each map.
Bosses
Bosses no longer walk straight through walls: they go around to reach you, and their dashes stop at the wall.
Walking bosses speed up while a wall hides you, and only cut through a wall briefly when their path is fully blocked for a few seconds. The Grave Revenant and the Beholder fly over walls, and the Vampire Count, Bone Dragon, Leech and Warden cross them with their own moves.
The Warden passes a sentence when his phase changes and in his last phase. Step on a pardon within 4 seconds or be executed.
The Warden's first execution and the Bone Dragon's first cataclysm no longer kill you outright and take 70% of your Max HP instead.
Every boss fight now caps the regular enemies inside the boss area. When it's full, new ones appear outside it.
The 3:00, 9:00 and 12:00 bosses have higher Max HP, and boss fights before 15:00 bring fewer regular enemies.
Enemies and Maps
Enemies on the map at once: up to 3,000 ⇒ 2,000
Ranged regular enemies come at most two at a time.
A shrine that comes back after its rest rolls its grade again.
Characters
Hunter: Sniper base Pierce 0 ⇒ 1
Paladin: fixed Skill Enhancement 'Anchor +2' B (Tether Recall) and 'Tempest +5' B (Stormwall) not working as described.
Death Knight: fixed Skill Enhancement 'Contagion +3' B (Deathly Chill) not working as described.
Assassin: fixed Shadow Strike stalling for a moment in a big crowd or among many walls.
Rewards and Progression
Endless Mode starts at: 15:00 ⇒ 30:00
Souls are now based on survival time instead of score.
Paid chests no longer get much pricier as a run goes on, so you can still buy them with gold late in a run.
All 25 stat points: 450 ⇒ 410 souls. If you bought them at the old prices, you get the difference back once.
When no legendary blessing is left, you get one from the grade below instead of an empty reward.
The official benchmark now shows a CPU Score, and finishing it gives 10 souls once a day.
New challenges: 1.5x Speed and 2x Speed.
Cumulative kill achievements now count before their earlier step is done. From 50,000 kills: 30 runs ⇒ 8 runs first
New saves start without challenges: the last run's challenges carry over only after five finished runs, and the challenge row hint waits for five runs or your first boss kill.
New Features
Added a tutorial for new players.
New: Skill Auto-Cast. Right-click the skill button and it casts itself whenever it's ready.
Star a replay to Keep it: kept replays are never cleaned up, up to 50. Replays saved on your device: 20 ⇒ 100 runs
Hitting enemies now makes a sound. Adjust it under Hit Sounds in Settings > Audio.
Settings > Display has a new Screen Fit option: Fill covers screens that aren't 16:9 without black bars.
Quality of Life
Auto select now has separate switches for level-ups, chests and shrines, and C toggles Auto Level-Up Selection.
Pressing Esc during a level-up now opens the pause menu, and closing it takes you back to the cards.
The mouse back button closes menus, and key bindings take the side mouse buttons.
Amethyst, Obsidian and Moonstone can now be switched off in Build too, and Build explains how to switch items off.
Holding several copies of a blessing now shows the combined value in its pause menu description, and Lucky Key shows your current free chest chance.
Polished the text and terms in all 19 languages.
Performance and Bug Fixes
PC Check now also warns about low virtual memory and graphics driver problems.
Saving and buying after a run no longer wait on the server, so the results screen and menus respond faster. If the server is unreachable, the run's result is kept on your device and uploaded once you're back online.
Fixed a continued run playing slower than the same run started fresh.
Fixed opening a chest the moment a level-up appeared taking the gold and losing the reward.
Fixed the player getting stuck between a wall and the edge of a boss arena.
Fixed pressing only Win, Shift, Ctrl or Alt hiding the cursor.
Fixed skill and enhancement numbers that didn't match their text.
