Thank you for playing!
Thank you for answering Napoleon's call in the first days of Valor Mortis!
After we put our hearts and souls into this game, it's been incredible to see people playing. Making a first-person game like this was a big risk, and we're glad that despite the challenges, many of you think that we've pulled it off!
Since launch earlier this week, we've been working as hard as we can to make the game better. We have a first round of bug fixes and optimization today, but there's a lot more to come.
If you are experiencing stutters and significant performance drops and you played the Playtest or the Demo, we recommend that you delete your game settings found here:

Patch Notes - Oct 16, 2026
Technical Fixes:
Fixed some of the most common crashes that we have seen across platforms
As a reminder, please always submit your crash reports and provide any additional info you can so we can keep chasing them down.
Added GPU driver detection: an automated pop-up will now show up to notify players that are using outdated graphics drivers.
This has been one of the areas where we are seeing players have the biggest performance and stability improvements. Please ensure that you are updating to the latest version of your respective GPU drivers!
Turned down error logging which could have minor performance impact in rare cases.
We are continuing to work on and investigate further performance issues that are being reported by some players. For those of you who played the Playtest or Demo, we recommend that you delete your game settings found here: AppData\\Local\\ValorMortis\\Saved\\Config\\Windows\\GameUserSettings.ini
Quality of Life Improvements:
Fixed an issue where the post-boss sequence was not saving progress correctly after defeating the boss and watching the cutscene on Chapter 4.
This should fix a blocker where in some rare cases, players were unable to progress following the fight.
Resolved a progression blocker on Chapter 12 and fixed a few edge cases where cutscenes may not trigger or unlock the next lantern.
Fixed an issue that could impact starting and progressing the sidequest “In the Name of Art” on Chapter 5.
Fixed a bug where the Volunteer enemies could stop attacking after being backstabbed while on patrol.
No more free Volunteer kills for you… 💀
