Hello, dear players!
This update was essentially groundwork for the upcoming 1980s–90s update.
We’ve overhauled the military system on a large scale—from the underlying mechanics to the UI. While it might be a stretch to call it a “complete” improvement… we’ve conducted multiple rounds of in-house QA to refine the UI to the point where it’s at least more user-friendly than the previous gameplay experience. Of course, this isn’t a complete overhaul—it’s more of an enhancement of the existing UI.
In addition, we’ve addressed issues where unnecessary information made it difficult to easily access features essential for actual gameplay. And, of course, the most important aspect is the expansion into the 1990s.
However, while the 80s–90s content was originally planned for this update—and I spent about 14 to 15 hours a day working on it—it’s a massive undertaking that expands the main game by at least 60% and up to 80%. Given that only three weeks have passed since the last update, and the two-week lead time for the update announcement, the quality fell short of what players would find enjoyable. Consequently, we were only able to implement a portion of the planned features (the features added this time represent about one-third of the total planned updates).
Above all, since the current gameplay experience and UX (user experience) of the main game fall significantly short of the game’s ultimate goals, I felt we couldn’t simply stop at adding more content—so I sincerely ask for your understanding, players!
For about one week, we plan to address bugs I didn’t catch during the 1.06 update process, suggestions submitted while I was unable to access Discord, features you’d like to see added, and—if you find the new UI unsatisfactory—we’ll add a setting that allows you to revert to the previous version of the UI.
