Xbox Play Anywhere Launching October 29th — Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector News

Attention Commanders!

[p align="justify"]We have a major update for owners of the Xbox and Windows Store versions of Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector. On October 29th we are officially launching support for Xbox Play Anywhere (XPA).

[p align="justify"]XPA replaces the separate Xbox and Windows Store versions with a unified version that runs on both platforms bringing seamless cross-platform functionality to players within the Microsoft ecosystem.

What Xbox Play Anywhere (XPA) Brings

[p align="justify"]Live Cross-Platform Multiplayer: PC and Xbox console players can now battle each other in real-time via Microsoft Live Multiplayer using XPA..
[p align="justify"]Shared Save Games: Progress syncs seamlessly between Xbox and PC.
[p align="justify"]Shared Achievements: Progress towards Achievements can be made on both Xbox and PC.
[p align="justify"]User Creations & Map Editor: Custom maps and content will keep working as currently with the Map Editor available whenever you play on a PC.

What Will Be Different (Xbox Version Owners)

[p align="justify"]Play on Xbox: Players who already own the game on Xbox will see no difference to their experience.
[p align="justify"]Play on PC: Once we have released the XPA version, owners of the Xbox version will be able to go to the Xbox App on PC and download the game along with all their owned DLC.

What Will Be Different (Windows Store Version Owners)

[p align="justify"]Windows Store Deprecation & Delisting: The current Windows Store version will be delisted from the Store and will no longer receive future updates. You will still be able to access the game from your Windows Store library.
[p align="justify"]Move to the Xbox Version: All existing Windows Store owners will have their game and DLC entitlements copied over to the Xbox platform
[p align="justify"]Save Games and Achievements: Unfortunately these cannot be copied from the Windows Store version to the XPA version.
[p align="justify"]Multiplayer: Multiplayer gameplay will move to the same system as the current Xbox version. This means that players will be able to play live head-to-head matches with other XPA owners. There will be no access to Slitherine’s servers for Live or Async play with PC players on other non-Microsoft platforms.
[p align="justify"]Play Anywhere: After the XPA version releases you will be able to get the game from the Xbox App on PC and/or from the Xbox Store on your Xbox console

[p align="justify"]Mark your calendars for October 29th as we transition to Xbox Play Anywhere. Thank you for continuing to support the game.
