Today’s release continues to address issues that cropped up in the UI, back-end problems impacting the stability of the game, and implements a workaround to help players avoid getting trapped in the new ammo box of the HAB.

🪖 SQUAD - HOTFIX 10.6.2
GAMEPLAY
Fixed radial damage (i.e. grenades, 30mm, etc.) not being blocked properly in layers using WorldPartition (Yehorivka).
DEV NOTE: As we implement a workaround to improve the messaging of the new ammo crate spawned in conjunction with the HAB, we also want to acknowledge the ongoing feedback about the change. While the original goal of the change was to improve the experience of Squad Leaders and newer players, the implementation didn’t land in a way that achieved those goals while accommodating the long-term players of the game.
To that end, while 10.6.2 implements a small (visual) change to try and avoid trapping players in the ammo crate while it remains attached to the HAB, we will ultimately be looking to BACK OUT the changes to the system in our next hotfix. This will give us the opportunity to revisit its implementation both internally and alongside our playtesting communities, who will be given the stage and opportunity to help determine whether we can truly accomplish the original goals…or whether the idea needs to be shelved and rethought from an entirely different angle.
A huge thanks to everyone who discussed the system and raised their concerns in constructive ways! We appreciate your feedback and your fervor to do this right, and we will continue to do what we can to improve the process by which we implement, review (i.e. playtests, feedback, etc.), and ultimately ship these types of changes in the future.
HAB blueprints now display stakes when placed to show where the ammo crate will spawn, indicating where it will appear to avoid getting stuck in the completed structure.
UI
Fixed an issue which prevented the smallest grid lines from showing up on both the deployment menu and minimap when zoomed in to the closest level.
The minimap will now consistently display the FOB creation marker, as intended.
Fixed a mislabeled element of the Nvidia Frame Gen settings.
Fixed an issue where the scope resolution scale setting would not apply as intended.
STABILITY & PERFORMANCE
Fixed a crash which would cause some clients to crash upon queuing for a match.
Fixed a client-side audio VoIP crash.
Fixed a memory leak.
SERVER
Fixed an issue where players would not receive a message after being kicked or banned from a server.
