Hey everyone! Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who has played the game and has left a review. I appreciate it hugely! I've really enjoyed reading them, and have been working on all of the feedback I've received so far. Launch has gone well, with a few performance hiccups that I'm working to smooth out. I was hoping to have all optimization done by this point but unfortunately it seems there's still a bit to do before it will be where I want it to. I've done a bunch of smaller patches over the part couple of days, fixing issues as the come in and pushing optimisations as I finish them. Here's a general list of what I've done:
Optimisations
Alot of small stuff that adds up, like spreading code over multiple frames instead of it running all at once
Somehow I shipped the game with a tree model that had over 150k triangles, and placed like 50. So even though you can barely see them they were taking up alot of the rendering. Whoops
Halfed the resolution of the portals as a temporary fix. They are unfortunately very expensive and I am reworking their logic completely
Bug Fixes
Fixed some of the bedroom potions spawning in the apothecary
Fixed an issue where the summoning bell would sometimes not find items that had gotten stuck
Fixed an issue where the familiar would sometimes not load in fast enough for the intro cutscene
Fixed an issue where spell hotkeys would not display properly after being rebound
Settings
Added a toggle to disable the familiars meow in the audio settings
Added a toggle to disable dust and bloom
Added a toggle to disable the grass in the apothecary
Added options for rebinding the jump button and the stack button
Still working on alot more fixes and optimisations. If you have any issues put them in the discussions and I'll make sure to get them fixed
Thank you so much for playing, and thank you so much for all the feedback!
