Thank you to all the Alien Breed fans who played the Demo, dived into the game on launch day, watched the documentaries, and shared experiences and memories. As a community, you have also shared with us the features you wanted to see; we’ve taken on board the feedback and implemented two of the most requested features, working alongside Commodore and Team17 to do what we can for the fans.
First up is Custom Controls. You can now fully map your own keyboard and controller bindings, allowing you to experience the first era exactly the way you want to play.
Second, we’re introducing Cheats. We know that Alien Breed's classic games are notoriously tough, and most of us don't have the spare time we used to have to grind through a steep difficulty curve. To help level the playing field, our new cheats menu lets you toggle options like infinite ammo, invulnerability, extra keys, and more credits, giving you the freedom to tailor the challenge to your own schedule and patience! Hopefully this will encourage players to experience more of what the games have to offer and possibly finish them for the first time. Unfortunately, cheats do not work in co-op gameplay due to the instability they cause in the original games.
