Thank you so much for waiting — THANKS, LIGHT. is now officially released! We couldn't have made it here without everyone who played the demo and the playtest and shared their valuable feedback. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
There's so much we want to say, but in the end, it's all thanks to you. We'll keep it short — go play the game!
Below is a summary of what has changed since the demo and playtest.

Changes since the Demo & Playtest
✨ New
Added voiced lines for the Administrator in every stage.
Added Steam Cloud save support. Only game progress is synced; video, audio and other settings are stored separately on each device, since hardware environments may differ.
🎮 Quality of Life
When a mirror or lens dissolves, a hologram now marks where it used to be.
Reset buttons in all chapters now sit on a raised step, so you won't accidentally reset the entire stage just by walking over them.
Reset zones (fall areas) now have a white outline, making their boundaries easier to see.
Enlarged the detection area of 3D buttons, making it easier to place objects into them.
Reworked cutscene skipping: holding Space now fills the gauge at an accelerating pace, and the required hold time has been reduced from 3 to 2.5 seconds.
Changed the death sequence: instead of teleporting instantly, your eyes close and the screen fades to black before you respawn.
In rotation mode, the rotation direction for W/S and vertical mouse input has been inverted to feel more intuitive.
Motion sickness reduction settings can now be previewed from the main menu.
Added tooltips to the options in the Settings menu.
Replaced the "Smooth Highlights" video option with "Bloom Intensity," based on feedback that the screen was too bright.
A photosensitivity warning is now shown at startup and can also be confirmed with a controller.
Added a highlight animation to the Apply button in Video Settings, making it clearer that resolution changes need to be applied.
Improved UI scaling for Steam Deck.
Updated the puzzle preview images on the Stage Select screen.
The space background effect in Chapter 3 no longer appears near puzzles, making the puzzles easier to read.
🧩 Puzzles & Levels
Blocked many unintended shortcuts (e.g., jumping over the seesaw in 1-19, climbing over walls in 3-9 and 3-10, skipping parts of the final stage by jumping).
Redesigned or refined several stages:
3-16: Level redesign
1-20: Full polish pass on the pinball puzzle
1-23: Fewer but larger objects; also fixed a frame rate drop that worsened over time
1-14: Replaced the press machine section with a force field so you no longer die mid-puzzle
2-15: Adjusted button spacing
2-9: Changed the clear condition
Added slopes to the stairs in 2-17 for smoother climbing.
Rearranged hidden flower locations, adjusting ones that were too easy or impossible to reach.
Added outlines to the force fields inside glass in Chapter 3 and made their material clearer.
Improved flashlight visuals and overall quality.
