As promised, we are very excited to share with you a first look at the brand new level coming to Dumb Ways to Build this week on October 14 PDT!
Introducing Beach Breach, the next Crisis Job that you and your crewmates have been enlisted to take on. This free update also introduces new building materials, some new friends, deadly oceanic hazards and a boatload of cosmetics to level up the look of your Beans.
Let’s take a look at everything Update 3.0 will have to offer!
NEW CRISIS JOB
Beach Breach gives seaside escape a whole new meaning! Soak up the sun on the shore, meet and greet the local marine life, before taking the plunge into the open ocean.
One misstep will land you in shark infested waters! Scramble back to safety or rely on your trusty crew to toss down building materials to help keep your head above water. Act fast, as the materials won’t stay afloat forever!
Get creative as you build your way through the coastal chaos using brand new materials. Some are sturdy, others are explosive… but we’ll let you discover which is which for yourself. Build your way to the Oil Rig and put your crane skills to the test and plug the oil leaks to ‘save’ the ocean.
Brave the storm in the Master Builder variant of Beach Breach. The Oil Rig is dilapidated and tipping over, and with the rain pouring down, your crew must navigate polluted waters scattered with shipwrecks and sea mines to complete the job at hand! But beware… the giant predator known as Nailnose lurks beneath the surface, waiting for his next meal.
Your dodgy build might get you to the top of the Oil Rig, but will you save the day or just make a mess out of it?
NEW HAZARDS
Taking on the Beach Breach Crisis Job is a risky business! Beyond keeping your crew in sync and on task, the local wildlife is waiting to cause extra mayhem and danger. Here’s what you’ll be up against:
Sharks - Beans are not friends, they’re food! If you stumble and fall into the open ocean, you better get back onto dry land fast, otherwise you’ll become a snack for the sharks hunting you down.
Crabs - Watch out for the cheeky crabs who will steal your building objects and scuttle away with them. Chase them down to grab your treasures back!
Seagulls - These pesky birds will swoop you, grab your items and leave you empty handed. Aim true and use your trusty nail gun to get your precious goods back!
A Beach Breach also comes with new environmental hazards to completely derail your crew!
Waves - Surf’s up! Watch out for the giant waves hurtling towards you throughout Beach Breach. Stop the waves from stunning you and sending you to the bottom of the ocean by building structures to protect you and your crew.
Sea Mines - Explosive sea mines pack a punch and are found throughout both Crisis Job variants. In Master Builder, dodge incoming sea mines lobbed at you by crabs and waves, or use their explosive blast force to your advantage.
Oil Slicks - You may want to get oiled up, but you should avoid the oil slicks at all costs! Oil spills splattered on the ground will cause you to slip and send any materials or items in hand flying.
NEW COSMETICS
Gear up with 15 new cosmetic items! With several unlocked and ready to equip immediately, while the rest can be earned by completing new Certifications in Beach Breach. From whimsical Mermaid Ears, to Flippers and even a trusty Bucket Hat, you’ll have all the ̶p̶r̶o̶t̶e̶c̶t̶i̶v̶e̶ gear you need to stand out on this oily jobsite.
