The burger shop is open!
The shop now has Kotonoha Burger. Buy the shop key and you can run your own burger shop for gold.
You will find it under Shop → Burger Shop.
Customers say their orders out loud. Listen, jot them down on your note, then pick the ingredients page by page from memory.
Get it wrong and it costs you money!
Aim to make a perfect burger by listening to Japanese alone, without needing your note!
After every page there is a quick-answer question. Answer quickly and correctly on every page to make a masterpiece burger and earn bonus income!
Deeper into the Abyss
After you defeat the Sword Fiend of the Starry Summit at 175 km, the road goes on. You can keep diving.
There are six depth zones and 12 Abyss bosses along the way. You can currently descend to a depth of 125 km in the Abyss.
The monsters in the Abyss are no joke (even the backdrop has turned 3D)!
Mythic bounties
Gold from bounties has been trimmed slightly. But after you defeat Yamata no Orochi, a very rare Mythic bounty can appear on the bounty board at random.
Each one has two stages. The gear you wore in the first stage is corroded in the second, so bring two different sets.
Victory brings generous rewards!
New item: the Mythic Bounty Summoning Scroll. Use it and a Mythic bounty appears at once. A Mythic bounty never fades away on its own; you have to defeat it.
Loadout presets and dojo gauntlets
The warehouse can hold 10 loadout presets. Assign one each to expeditions, boss fights, the dojo and bounties, and your gear switches automatically before the fight.
You can now tackle up to 10 backlogged dojos at a time.
Enhancing weapons and trinkets
Besides forging, weapons and trinkets can now be enhanced too!
Levels run from 1 to 100. You need a breakthrough at levels 30, 50, 70 and 90 to keep going. Enhancement raises their base stats!
Enhancement beyond level 30 unlocks after you defeat Yamata no Orochi at 25 km.
And a few more things
- Verb study cards are now marked intransitive / transitive.
- The memory page can filter by part of speech, and you can star words.
- Tap a word in an NPC's Japanese subtitles to open its study card (beta; this feature is not fully finished yet).
- Settings now includes voice playback speed and an option to autoplay voice while studying. Plenty more has been added under Settings → Features, so go take a look!
- More questions, hints and explanations.
- A batch of reading and voice errors fixed.
- A discount won by bargaining now stays until you make the purchase.
- Daily tasks now reward more gold.
- There are many more small changes and fixes that we simply cannot list here!
