Hello, Creators! Happy Friday. We’re back with some exciting news.

A new inZOI update is scheduled for next Thursday, the 15th.

In this week’s announcement, we’d first like to share the modding guide video prepared last month, followed by an overview of the major changes coming in next week’s update.

As this update was prepared within a relatively short period of time, it may not address everything you were hoping for. Rather than trying to make enormous changes all at once, we hope you’ll see this as part of our effort to strengthen and improve inZOI’s fundamentals through more frequent updates.

While there are no major new systems this time, the main focus of this update is on features that give you greater control over autonomy—such as preventing customers from freely using objects in businesses—as well as the long-requested free placement options in Build Mode and improvements to modding.

The changes coming in this update will be detailed in the comment below.

With the rapid development of AI technology, modding has become much more approachable. In the video we’re sharing today, we’ve tried to provide guidance that makes the modding process easier to follow, and we hope some of you will give it a try yourselves.

We know there are still areas where the game may not yet feel as polished as you would like. With your valuable feedback, we’ll continue working quickly to make inZOI more refined and complete.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. We’ll be back next week with more details about the update.

Thank you!

Hello, everyone.

Thank you for all the feedback on last Friday’s post. I’ve read everything, from the excitement about MCP mods to your concerns and bug reports. Here are answers to the points that came up most often.

1. Can we trust AI-made mods?

Many of you are worried that AI-made mods could break the game, or that creators won’t be able to keep them updated. I’ll pass your concerns and suggestions on to the people in charge of modding.

Some of you were also worried that Mac players would be left out. We’ve raised the priority of reviewing mod support on Mac.

2. Events now start after everyone arrives

Starting with this update, events begin once all participants have arrived. Some of you felt this wastes time waiting for NPCs. To make sure many Zois can run an event smoothly within the scheduled time, we’ve started with participants traveling together. For those who’d prefer to travel on their own, we plan to make this an option later.

We also heard that at outdoor parties, such as pool parties, backyard birthday parties and BBQs, guests take their food and go inside the house. We’ve passed this on to the team as well.

3. Action queue and player commands

Some of you reported that since 0.10.0, other Zois insert actions into the middle of your queue or cancel queued actions more often. You also mentioned that commands given just as an autonomous action starts are sometimes ignored. We’ve raised the priority on the insertion and cancellation issues and are looking into them.

4. Reusing nearby Zois

Reusing nearby Zois is meant to improve performance at large gatherings. It changes how Zois passing by visit nearby businesses. So you don’t keep seeing the same Zois, they’re replaced with new ones after a set number of appearances. You’ll still meet new Zois just like before.

5. Issues you reported

We’ve gathered the following and shared them with the team:

After the school update, customers don’t buy anything at businesses and food isn’t served at restaurants

NPCs don’t start conversations

Placing a platform removes the nearby wall and ceiling

Zois sing outdoors even in the rain; pool, chess and weightlifting animations play only once

Delayed reactions when cars pass by or honk

Everyone declines when you invite them over

CurseForge subscriptions get removed on their own, and Canvas creator credits show incorrectly

The same texture gets saved multiple times

Need values don’t match when the day length is set to something other than 48 minutes

6. Official forum

We’re sorry that forum users felt left out. A team member regularly reads the posts on the forum, gathers your feedback and passes it on to the development team. Thank you for always sharing your valuable feedback.

Rather than making big changes all at once, we’ll keep strengthening the fundamentals with frequent, smaller steps. I know that even the sharp comments come from caring about inZOI.

Thank you, as always.
