Hello everyone,
Seiji Aoki here, producer of the Legacy VIRTUA FIGHTER Project.
I hope you've all been enjoying the latest update, Ver. 1.12, which launched on September 10! We introduced several improvements, including full Arabic and Hindi language support across all platforms, and a new "Forced Relay" option for online connections. As you know, we're always looking for ways to improve the experience, so if you have feedback or suggestions, please share them on our official Discord server.
Speaking of Discord, we're already approaching the server's second anniversary! Earlier this year, we refreshed the server and added a dedicated channel for VIRTUA FIGHTER CROSSROADS. Since then, it's been amazing to see just how active and welcoming the community has been. Be it helping players find matches, organizing tournaments, sharing tips, or welcoming newcomers, our moderators and community continue to make it a great place to connect with fellow Virtua Fighter fans. It's become a daily gathering hub for players around the world, and if you haven't joined us yet, we'd love to see you there.
Now on to the competitive side of things. Brazil recently hosted the eighth qualifying tournament for the VIRTUA FIGHTER Open Championship 2026 at TRETA CHAMPIONSHIP 2026. Players from around the world delivered incredible matches, with KGC | Nuclear taking first place and earning a Special Event invitation. Congratulations on an outstanding performance!
Following that, the ninth qualifying event took place at ULTIMATE FIGHTING ARENA 2026 in France, where NatsouTheWolf and Kingheim battled through a stacked bracket to secure the next Special Event invitation. The competition was incredible, and delivered plenty of memorable moments.
Next up is our tenth qualifying tournament: THE LOS ANGELES GATHERING (LAG) in Los Angeles. As the competitive scene continues to grow around the world, we're excited to see who will rise to the challenge and earn their place alongside the best.
As always, thank you for your continued support of Virtua Fighter and SEGA. We couldn't do this without you, and we're excited to keep building the future of the series together.
