Space: lower VRAM usage
We've reduced video memory usage on the Space map. If it previously took a long time to load or the game crashed while loading it, please give it another try: this optimization may help the map load on your PC.
We've optimized starfield and planet textures. The game now loads only the planet types needed for the current space scene, keeping unnecessary resources out of video memory.
Forest events — now with friends
The biggest news in this update: events at the Edge of the Forest now work in co-op too! Gather your friends, settle in and watch the forest's unusual happenings together. Being a stone is still something you can enjoy at your own pace — now with someone to share those moments with.
Loading and saves
Forest scenery restores faster when loading a save. Snow, foliage and seasonal effects now update before the loading screen closes, without waiting for the next in-game hour.
Fixed save-slot selection when loading. The selected slot is now locked in before confirmation, so moving the cursor or changing menu focus no longer switches it to another save.
Controls, compatibility and effects
Fixed initial menu focus when using a controller and cursor restoration when switching input methods.
Improved Proton compatibility: FSR Frame Generation is disabled in this environment, while FSR upscaling remains available.
Refined the screen-frost effect to reduce jitter when turning the camera, including when using FSR.
Fixed animation playback for the UFO that delivers a stone.
