It's hard to believe that Cooking Companions came out, 5 years ago, on October 7th, 2021. The world has changed so much since then, but the journey for this game has been absolutely incredible and humbling.
I never could have predicted how many of you enjoyed Cooking Companions...it was the first game I've ever made, and I am incredibly grateful for all of the theories, fanart, cosplay, and streams. It fills me with joy that so many people have learned about Ukrainian history through it, and how a folklore figure like Baba Yaga could make a return.
To celebrate 5 years of Cooking Companions: the game, and the sequel Dread Weight, are less than $5. Cheaper than a gallon of gasoline right now!
If you're a player from years ago: please enjoy this discount, and send a copy to a friend if you liked the game. The game has received additional story content, and new cutscenes, since launch...I think you'll find that the game has improved significantly.
If you're a new player: please enjoy this horror experience. I hope the game gives you some curiosity into checking out the history of Ukraine and Poland.
As always: thank you for playing, and THANK YOU for an unforgettable five years. There are currently no plans for a Cooking Companions 3 (but look forward to a YouTube video with some details on what it could have been), but rest assured I'm still cooking...I think you'll enjoy the next main course.
