Take the Shot – Way of the Hunter 2 Leaves Early Access and Launches on PC!
Bratislava, Slovakia / Vienna, Austria - September 29th, 2026: Slowly. Steadily. Carefully. Holding still, listening, picking out every rustle and distant voice – and weighing how each could affect the hunt. Checking the wind, choosing the right rifle. Breathing. Waiting. Yes, this IS the moment. Taking aim, holding your breath, squeezing the trigger ... As the echo of the shot reverbs through the valley, it is official: Way of the Hunter 2 is out today for PC and consoles!

After six months in Early Access on PC, the ultimate hunting simulation is now ready for its full release on PC, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. Together with our friends at Nine Rocks Games, we've used that time to implement your feedback and expand the world of Way of the Hunter 2 with a full herd of new features.
Thanks to every hunter who joined us in Early Access and helped shape the game, you'll see the Heirloom Pack DLC for free as a big THANK YOU!
What's Waiting in the Wild
- Two vast hunting grounds: the North American wilderness of New Laurentia and the African Kilimaya Reserve.
- Big game from moose, elk and bison to lions, hippos and Nile crocodiles, as well as small game and birds.
- Two-player co-op, so you can share the hunt with a friend.
- A loyal dog companion to help you track your game.
- Thermal night vision for hunting in the darkest environments and suppressors for quieter shots.
- Infrastructure improvements that let you restore habitats, remove pollution and clear invasive species with the goal of raising the fitness potential of the local herds.
- Authentic gear from more than ten real-world partners, including Bergara, Bushnell, Christensen Arms, CVA, DDoptics, Integrix, Leupold, Merkel, MDT, Primos, Stone Glacier, Strasser, and ZEISS.
The Hunt Goes On
Taking that shot now doesn't mean the hunt is over – quite the contrary: We'll support Way of the Hunter 2 for many years to come, with new biomes, additional species and even more authentic gear. It all starts with the Season One Season Pass: eight DLCs releasing throughout the game's first year.
