We sincerely apologize for the trouble caused by the quality of the Chinese translation.
Since the Early Access launch on September 22, we have received a large amount of feedback about the Chinese translation. Issues ranged from inconsistent names and sentences that did not match the original meaning to mistranslations and errors in speaker attribution, forms of address, and character gender.
In a text-based game, problems like these directly interfere with play. For this, we apologize once again.
After the demo release, we entrusted localization to a professional translation company and invested a great deal of time and money in the work. The result, however, was no better than machine translation, and we have felt the weight of that fact since launch day.
What we have done so far On launch day we reported the problems to the translation company and requested a full re-review and corrected delivery of all text. While the details were being worked out, our team has been fixing confirmed errors directly through emergency patches, and we have continued this work through the holiday and weekend.
What comes next The translation company's investigation found that revised terminology for the early chapters and the later chapters was delivered at different times, which caused names to become mixed. The company will therefore redeliver corrected text in two stages, and we will apply each to the build and release a patch as soon as it arrives.
\[Stage 1: delivery scheduled for September 30] Character, monster, and terminology names will be unified across all chapters, and all mistranslations and typos identified so far will be corrected.
\[Stage 2: schedule under discussion] The entire text in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English will undergo LQA from the beginning, with native-speaker review. This is not a partial fix but a complete re-review of every chapter in every language.
We will keep working until every line of the story reaches you exactly as we wrote it.
