Thank you all so much for such an amazing launch day! I am extremely grateful for all the support, and I am really happy seeing all the feedback coming in from the game. The response has been so much more than I expected, and I'm working hard to respond to every one and also put out a first patch.
I've been listening to all your feedback and I've been working on a first patch, in order to address what seem to be the most important changes (bugs, missing rebinding keys, screenshots and video recording via Steam not working, a save issue, etc), and then I will work on another patch with some less urgent changes afterwards.
It's been a busy day or two, but as you read this post the first patch should be available! I have a lot more on my todo list, but I wanted to get a quick patch up to fix some of the larger bugs at launch.
Prevented a possible save corruption if you pause the game on the same frame that you save.
Fixed a bug where your save tent displays wrong if you beat the drain boss but do not rescue the frogs.
Allows you to rebind to Alt
Fixed a bug where the camera doesn't follow the player in certain time trials if the camera zoom setting is too wide.
Taking screenshots with F12 should now be working as should recording videos on Steam, if it doesn't still please leave a comment and a way to contact you
Fixed a couple out of bounds spots
Fixed a spot where you could get stuck in a wall in The Docks
Fixed the Looter's Shop Achievement from only triggering when buying trinkets
Slightly altered the wall jump allowances
Other misc small bug fixes and changes
NOTE: While the save corruption bug should not happen anymore, and it seems to have been a very rare freak coincidence of several factors that lead to it, if you have experienced the bug in the original build there may be ways to fix your save:
Go to C:\\Users\\Your Name\\AppData\\Local\\WellDweller , and delete the file titled "Settings"
Hover over your save file, it should be titled something like "WellDweller1". If this file is more than 0kb, you should be able to play as normal. If the file is 0kb, the file is unfortunately corrupt and you should delete it.
Look for a file titled something like "BACKUP_WellDweller1", hover over it and verify it is more than 0kb. If it is, rename it to match the deleted save file ("WellDweller1" for example) and it should fix the issue
Thank you all so much again for all the support, it means so much to me!
