Attention, pilots! Rifts are tearing open in the fabric of space, and ApexGate's most dangerous creatures are pouring out of them. Every company will race to seal its own rift: Rift Invasion is here!
When?
- Friday, 25 September — 20:00–22:00 (server time: CEST, UTC+2)
- An in-game announcement goes out 10 minutes before the start.
- You can also find the event time in the events list on the home page.
- This is the first Rift Invasion; upcoming dates will be announced soon.
How do I join?
- When the event starts, a portal opens at the exact center of the x-1 map.
- The portal takes you to your company's own rift; each company has its own map.
- There is no level requirement, every pilot can join.
- The first 2 minutes are for gathering, then the first section begins.
Inside the rift
- The 10 sections of the Alpha ApexGate come one after another, from Vagus to Obsidionus.
- Creatures are twice as strong and 2.5 times as many as in Alpha. Like in ApexGate, they arrive wave by wave.
- There is a 15-second countdown between sections. During it, a return portal opens so you can go back to x-1 if you want. The portal closes when the countdown ends.
- There is no PvP in the rift; the whole company works toward the same goal.
- If you die, you respawn at x-1 and can enter again through the portal.
Rewards
- Every creature gives double rewards, shared by how much damage each pilot dealt.
- Dropped cargo is visible to everyone, and anyone can collect it.
- The first company to seal its rift wins. Companies that don't finish are ranked by their progress.
Company ranking rewards:
- 1st company: 5% of your experience + 5% of your honor + 50 MIN-1
- 2nd company: 3% of your experience + 3% of your honor + 30 MIN-1
- 3rd company: 2% of your experience + 2% of your honor + 20 MIN-1
Damage ranking rewards (on top of the company reward, for the 3 pilots who deal the most damage, whatever their company):
- 1st pilot: 3 days of Premium + 5,000 ULB-100 + 30 MIN-1
- 2nd pilot: 2 days of Premium + 4,000 ULB-100 + 20 MIN-1
- 3rd pilot: 1 day of Premium + 3,000 ULB-100 + 10 MIN-1
To earn rewards, you must deal damage in at least 3 different minutes during the event. Rewards are added to your account and you get a notice in your mailbox. The top damage dealer will also be featured in Player Announcements on the home page!
Follow the action
- The Rift Invasion panel shows which section each company is on (e.g. "NTO 2/10").
- The Damage Ranking panel shows the top 10 pilots by damage; the top three get gold, silver and bronze.
The end
- Pilots of a company that seals its rift return to x-1 after 15 seconds. The other companies keep going until time runs out.
- If time runs out, the remaining creatures withdraw and everyone returns to x-1 within 10 seconds.
