We want to talk openly about the current situation with Campsite Hustle.
As a small indie team, continuing development depends heavily on the game being able to financially support that work. Unfortunately, Campsite Hustle has not reached the level of sales needed for us to keep producing new content and major updates in a sustainable way.
Because of this, we have made the difficult decision to pause the development of new content for the foreseeable future.
We know this is disappointing news, especially for those of you who supported the game during Early Access because you wanted to see it grow. We completely understand that disappointment, and we do not want to create false expectations about content that we are currently not in a position to deliver.
For that reason, we have removed the previously published roadmap.
That said, we are not abandoning the game.
We will continue to address bugs, technical problems, balancing issues, and general improvements to the existing experience. Our goal is to make sure that the version of Campsite Hustle that is already available remains stable and enjoyable to play.
We are also keeping the game in Early Access. We do not feel it would be right to simply call the current version “finished” when there are still ideas and content we originally wanted to bring into the game.
And while we cannot make any promises, we also do not want to close the door on Campsite Hustle.
If our financial situation improves in the future and we are able to support development again, we would love to return to the project and continue from where we left off. Right now, however, we cannot honestly say when or whether that will become possible.
This was not an easy decision for us. Campsite Hustle is a project we have put a lot of time, effort, and care into, and stepping away from active content development is not something we wanted to do.
To everyone who bought the game, shared feedback, reported bugs, joined our community, or simply spent some time at the campsite thank you.
Your support has meant a lot to us.
We hope this is not the end of Campsite Hustle, but for now, we want to be honest about what we can realistically continue to support.
