New Crops & Grass Farming
Added grass as a new crop.
Grass seeds are now available from agro stores and the home agro magazine.
Grass can be planted with standard seeders and can be sown by hired workers.
Grass can be planted outside winter and follows its own growth cycle:
Small: 10 days
Medium: 20 days
Ready to mow: 30 days
Withered: 180 days
Cultivated grass fields provide significantly more grass than naturally growing grass.
Combine harvesters cannot harvest grass and will destroy the crop if used on it.
Barley and oats now leave straw after harvesting.
Hay, Straw & Drying
Freshly cut grass now has humidity and gradually dries during suitable weather.
Mowed grass visually changes from fresh green to dry yellow as moisture decreases.
Nearby grass piles display their current humidity percentage.
Grass can be raked at any humidity level, but must be sufficiently dry before it can be baled.
Mowed grass can still be collected manually and used for animals or sold.
Dry grass now produces dedicated hay bales, visually distinct from straw bales.
Straw and grass can both be raked into rows before baling.
Hay bales provide 100% feed value when delivered to a cowshed.
Straw bales provide 25% feed value.
Hay bales sell for 50% more than straw bales.
