Dear Players,
Thank you for your continued support of The Legend of Fancy Realm Remake. We would also like to thank everyone who has recently shared feedback and reported issues through the Steam Discussions.
This update mainly focuses on fixes related to game stability, memory usage, and control issues. We have also made adjustments to certain interface elements, combat features, and item values, while continuing to improve the MOD experience.
Here are the details of this update:
■ Stability
・Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash due to insufficient memory after playing for an extended period.
・Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash when switching windows (Alt+Tab) in fullscreen mode on some older graphics cards. When using these graphics cards, the game will now run in borderless windowed mode.
・Fixed an issue where the game would remain on a black screen and fail to start after selecting a difficulty if a video could not be played.
・Fixed an issue where repeatedly clicking or using a controller while loading a save, restarting the game, or returning to the main menu could cause the game to become unresponsive and prevent further progress.
・Fixed an issue where some buttons could become unresponsive when navigating the main menu with a controller.
・Fixed an issue where loading certain older save files could fail when the item compensation window appeared during the loading process.
■ Performance & Memory
・Unused resources will now be released when changing scenes, reducing the continuous accumulation of memory usage.
・Decoder resources will now be released after video playback ends, reducing memory usage caused by repeatedly watching videos.
・Improved memory usage during music playback.
・Optimized the processing performance of save file screenshots and thumbnails displayed on the load screen.
■ Interface & Controls
・Selecting Restart on the results screen will now restart the game directly at the original difficulty. A new Lower Difficulty & Restart option has also been added.
・Fixed an issue where Classic Mode would still ask whether to lower the difficulty on the results screen. Also fixed the difficulty display for Classic Mode saves in subsequent playthroughs.
・Fixed several issues with the Memoirs feature, including being unable to advance dialogue with a controller during playback, pressing ESC closing the Memoirs screen, and background music not resuming after skipping dialogue.
・Fixed an issue that could cause the battle results to become stuck when playing the card game with the Mysterious Merchant.
・Battlefield screenshots in the Rewind screen will now retain information such as HP bars and turn counts.
・Updated and added missing item icons.
■ Combat
・Fixed abnormal behavior that could occur while loading a battlefield or when enemies approached the edge of the map.
・Fixed an issue where enemies would continue taking action while the confirmation window was open after pressing Quick Load (F2) during the enemy's turn.
・Fixed an issue where spell effects would not display correctly when an enemy used an area-of-effect spell on allied characters positioned at the edge of the map.
・Fixed an issue where the page-turn arrows in the skill menu could not be clicked with the mouse when the menu contained skills with insufficient MP.
・Improved an issue that could cause excessively loud sound effects when an area-of-effect spell hit multiple characters simultaneously.
・Adjusted the hit sound effect for Death Knight.
・Fixed the portrait display for Magic Stone Pillars and Castle Gate in the action order.
■ Stats & Items
・Fixed an issue where points could occasionally increase after resetting them, and adjusted the sorting order of learned skill names.
・When resetting points without enough Gold, the warning will now appear only after clicking the confirmation button.
・Subsequent Playthroughs (Normal Difficulty): Reduced the trigger rates of certain enemy weapon special effects, as well as the chance and duration of inflicted status effects.
・Under Normal Difficulty, the success rate of BUFF-type skills has been adjusted to 100%. (Classic Difficulty remains unchanged.)
・Adjusted the items available in the Hidden Merchant's $5,000 price tier.
・Fixed an issue with the weakening value of Weakness Arrow.
・Fixed the Fire resistance and Classic Mode effects of True Odin Shirt.

・When creating a MOD, a default "my-mod" mod package will no longer be created automatically.
■ The Legend of Fancy Realm – Classic Version ・Fixed an issue where items could not be equipped in equipment slots after the previously equipped item had been removed.
