The Wildlife Update brings a brand-new way to document your off-grid journey. You can now discover an expanded fauna ecosystem featuring 34 unique animal species roaming across the Outbound's four distinct biomes.
Photography System
Visit the new Wildlife Outpost in the first biome to download the blueprint for a craftable camera. Fine-tune your shots with professional settings, including Exposure/Brightness, Depth of Field focus points, Saturation, Contrast, and Zoom. Every photo is saved directly to your Steam library and to your hard drive.
Journal Update
The camera automatically detects animals in view. Framing a species and taking a crisp shot logs the animal as 'collected' in a brand-new tab in your personal journal.
Binoculars
The static binoculars found across the world can now be used to view long-distance when you don’t have your camera to zoom in just yet.
Additional content
A new wooden foundation is added, which has a closed wood floor instead of slats. This is immediately available in the build menu; No new blueprint needed. Based on community feedback, the fishing interaction prompt now only appears while standing still, keeping your HUD clean and uninterrupted while exploring and walking in the water. Also, we added two more rear-view mirror Charms!

- A lively world, full of wild animals, birds, and insects (34 species in total)!

- All wildlife is detected in camera view. When an animal is sufficiently in view and a picture is taken, this animal is noted down in a new tab in your journal as 'collected'.

- The static binoculars that were already in the game can be looked through. After crafting the camera, they can also be used to take pictures.

Please note that we are constantly improving Outbound, and there's much more to come. We will continue releasing smaller patches with bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements between major content updates. The next major update will bring even more life to the game, with interactable townsfolk who have their own tasks, quests, and routines!
