We’ve just released a second hotfix for Patch #6, addressing an issue with population and available workers, as well as an occasional crash.

Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where Drifters were not added as available workers when gaining population while a Pirate Camp was under construction.
Fixed an occasional crash that could occur when deleting certain transit structures.
More Details on the Population Fix
This fix addresses several reports that may have appeared to be separate issues, including population seemingly disappearing, Drifters being displayed but not being available as workers, and population numbers decreasing after loading a save.
These were all symptoms of the same underlying issue: under certain conditions, population gained while a Pirate Camp was under construction could be displayed without the corresponding Drifters actually being added as available workers.
With this hotfix, newly gained population should now be added, displayed, and updated correctly.
Please note: If your existing save was already affected by this issue, previously displayed “ghost” population cannot be restored. Those workers were never actually created by the game, so loading an affected save after installing the hotfix will not add them retroactively. However, any new population gained from this point forward should work correctly.
Thank you for all your reports and detailed feedback. They helped us identify that these seemingly different population issues shared the same underlying cause.
